Hmm, quite long winded! I think it should be available to all sisters instantly and in return sisters should show show respect/ have haya and not abuse the system in any way.

The problem is that you don't know who are sisters and who are not. Also I think they had some problems when some brothers posed as sisters to get on.

That is quite sad of brothers to be so selfish and deprive sisters of privacy (hope you guys are listening!)

I have been on many forums where there are sisters sections and they work very well, brothers here should stop being soooooooooo nosey!

It was a very traumtic ordeal, hence why the rules have become stricter. However it wasn't exactly that, in fact no one can be sure. None the less, there is no need to be afraid, because the sister mods and everyone have made sure it's all safe for us, mashallah.

Have I frightened the people wanting membership away now? :p

sis u need minimum 1000 posts and it looks to me that u have that, so apply via user cp and make a helpdesk ticket, insha'allah that will set the ball rolling for ur application.

they may not have been bros and they may not have been Muslims - point is we don't know who anyone is on the internet its so easy to pretend to be someone you're not. we had two serious security breaches including two people in there who were found to be lying completely about who they said they were, putting up fake pics n stuff, they could have been anyone so they were perm banned. around the same time a brother on the forum (now permanently banned from the whole forum) was found to have accessed very personal information about a sister in the forum, from something that was posted in there. As such it was necessary to drastically tighten up security. Its not just a question of people being nosey, its a matter that there are perverts and all kinds of weirdos on the internet

There is a thread in the announcements forum (access the announcements forum at the top of the front page) which details the security requirements and also has a long post about potential dangers to Muslim sisters on the internet. All sisters should read it inshaAllah for their own information to keep safe on the internet, whether they want to join the sisters section here or not.

We do appreciate that the application process takes a while and the post count is just the start of the process, but it is for your own safety and once you are in there inshaAllah you can feel safe inshaAllah

have you applied via user cp been discussing your application with any sis mod or admin (e.g. by pm or via sisters helpdesk?) if you're not pls do and we can process your application- if you have already done this please be patient sis :love: not long to go now :)

btw the same goes for any sis with the necessary post count (1000 posts) - apply via user cp and post in sisters helpdesk or pm one of us inshaAllah

When you say permanently banned from the forum, does that mean he cant come and register under other user name too?

I totally understand the need for security, but Im afraid it will take years before I can apply to the sisters section, cuz I read more than I post :o

and by permanetly banned I think they mean that the users IP is logged so that even if they do try to register under another name, it wont grant them access because their IP will never change. I think thats right anyway if not someone plz correct me :D

it has a good atmosphere in there, when u get access u will prob enjoy it more than main forum and yes there is quite a bit of useful things in there.
