my ipods broken

my ipods dead :(

i took it out to charge....it turned on...but the buttons arent working..and its not responding to the usb thingy/itunes..and now i can't turn it off :S

ne ideas on how to wake it up?

man the quote i got to fix my classic ipod was 80 quid or more..that's cos water got into it.

All I can recommend is someone that specialises in mobile phones and tech that would sort it for free. Or if not, just go buy a new one. I just got an itouch, (obviously a present so I didn't have to pay for it:D)

hmm...i think i'm gonna let the battery die...see if it'll recharge..and if not will hav to make a visit to the apple shop :rolleyes:

I would recommend to buy a creative zen vision m which is 30 gig

I think you can restart the whole thing on their website rather than take it in and if it doesn't work then take it in.

Yea, Guessing you've already tried, but choose your ipod and follow the troubleshooting instructions. If nothing works, do a complete reset and check to see if it is recognised by your computer.

Failing that, enjoy life as it should be enjoyed, without somebody blasting stuff into your ears. Even if it is nice stuff :)

i had an ipod classic buh it kept crashing and wouldnt charge e.t.c ma comp couldnt een read it sometimes. i took it back to the store several times buh they didnt do anything, until we went the seventh time and made a huuuggeeee complaint...they gave me a new one!!!:D...Even better, they say if this one gets messed up, i get an ipod touch:D

Ask a brother who does mechanics or similar to have a look at it- even if they fix pc's- i know a few brothers who fix pc's but also ipods :masha:

If not take it to the ipod store, they check it for free- they told me mine wasn't gonna be able to get fixed but if you buy a new one and give your old ipod they give you a 10% discount.

i did try the troubleshooting..problem is its completely frozen..so can't do anything to it

will wait till the battery dies...hopefully it should be dead by the time i get home 2nite :D and will try charging it then

Same thing has happened to me and thats what I've had to do.. it's happened more than once as well.. you just have to wait for battery to die.

Press the middle button and the menu button together and hold that position till u see the apple logo. It then should restart InshaALLAH.

i bought an ipod just to see how it is and i didnt like it so i returned it and the shop refused to take it saying we dont take returns on electronic things. So i came home put the ipod under water for long but it was still working fine. (it took a long time to dry afterwards lol) so i messed the usb thing and took out one or two pins and returned as a faulty. Then i got my creative zen vision m replaced which im using for a year and two months.
