Buying of online tickets will be ceased on Wednesday 12th March 2008, providing we have tickets available.
There are very few tickets left reserved for online purchases, once we sell them we may not be able to get more to sell online.

Absolutely.
Boys over the age of 10 are not allowed in the sisters area. I think we will also provide a seperate area for the kids - some sisters have volunteered to look after them.

Hmm it's best if you phone tomorrow in the afternoon Inshallah. 'Tis a bit late now.
If you have a look at the event trailer you will see two phone numbers. One of them is for the stalls...the other is for the tickets. Make sure you dial the right number :p

Children
We strongly discourage people to bring children as the venue becomes extremely crowded.
All children of age Ten and above will be required to pay the full ticket fee (£7).
It will be free for any children under the age of Ten, however they will not be given a seat in the sisters section and will have to sit on their guardians lap.
If the guardians wish for the child to have a seat then a full ticket fee will be applicable, providing that there are tickets available (adults will be given priority). Please inform us if you will be bringing children with you when purchasing your ticket.
Any male child who has reached the age of puberty will not be allowed in the sisters section, also we leave it up to the judgment of the guardian to decide this in all other cases.
Ticket Lines
Our ticket lines are very busy, please be patient and avoid calling very late. If you cannot get through please leave a voice mail with your details and someone will get back to you.
We ask sisters to avoid calling the brothers line (brothers will not be able to deal with any sisters queries), similarly brothers please avoid calling the sisters line.
Alternatively you can purchase tickets online, which is very easy and straight forward and does not require you to come and collect your tickets.

Your best bet is to use the website to buy the tickets.

If you text then you should expect a call back and then arrange to pay and collect the tickets before the event.
This method will not guarantee your tickets (unless you have been contacted by us and arranged collection & payment).
If you buy them online, you will be given an email and all you need to do is bring this email and paypal receipt with you to the event (no need to collect the tickets).

Been trying to buy tickets this weekend.
Here's what happened:
Rand the sisters phone, goes to voicemail, ring again later: voicemail.
Try and buy the tickets online:problems with the site. You "add to cart" go to "view cart" and it shows as empty, try again: same thing.
Wait a few hours,try again: empty.
Ring, Ring, Ring,Riiiiiinnnnng no answer: Voicemail:Leave name and number (not the number that the call was made from btw).
Receive a txt message on the number that the call was made from saying book online, though the online booking was obviously not working.
Decided to try again today. The online booking is showing as sold out.
It's just terrible. I feel so let down... :(
On a positive note. Kudo's to the brothers. As the website wasn't working i phoned the brother's line. Brother answered (though he sounded like he was traveling) and proceeded to take out his book and write down my name.JazakAllahu Khairun.
Maybe you can explain to the sisters that the button marked as " (|) " is the ON button ,and unless the button is pressed you can't receive calls. I'm joking (obviously). I'm guessing they set it so that it goes straight to voicemail, though i don't understand why.

We are sorry for all the inconvenience. The sisters do not have any tickets in hand to sell at the moment, which is why there is a delay. There maybe some available soon insha Allah.
Regarding the website; I am not sure why you had the problem, this is the first we are hearing of it. It has been working fine as far as we know.
Once again we apologise and hope that you can understand that we working flat out.

''Regarding the ticket hotline, text messages were sent to people about no more tickets available for reservations. It was mentioned very clearly that in order to buy the tickets you have to go to the Queen Mary ISOC website.
The sisters on the phone line and behind scene have responsibilities and other duties besides this. So it is impossible for them to always be on guard when the phone rings.
I do apologise for the inconvenience caused, however excuses for sisters in Islam should be made and their mistakes and shortcomings should not be broadcasted.''

As there are only limited seats on the balcony we can only sell the same number of tickets as the number of seats. There will be no tickets available at the door, and due to strict security & health and safety issues we will not be able to sneak people in even if we wanted to.

when i went few years ago it was this way, the sisters are upstairs on the balcony and the brothers downstairs.
you'll be separated til the event is over probably, but don't worry you'll easily make a friend insha'Allah!

There will be two entrances one for each gender, from there onwards it is fully segregated. We hope this answers your question.

Don't worry about it, me and my husband go to all such events together and just meet up at the end when it's finished (and we both tend to bump into people we know on either side anyway) and Insha'allah the ilm you gain will be worthwhile. :up:

He talked about how despite the fact that we enjoin the good and forbid the evil we will always be faced by trials and struggle. Just like the strangers who came before us.

i'll never forget the bro who continiously says "fantastic" mashaAllaah.
Shaykh Salim Al Amry raised a few issues worth mentioning, that we should make valid effort in studying the biographies of the ambiya (AS) the prophets were the first of the Ghurabaa, strangers. From Adam and Hawwa (AS) to Muhammad (SAWS) .
Shaykh Da3ee Muhammad Alshareef, gave a beautiful example of the munafiqah. who tried putting the revivers of the Sunnah down, when in fact she complimented. May Allaah guide her.
The event was one you brothers at QM ISOC should be proud of and it should motivate you guys to move forward. I see Ibn Khattab and Abu Muslim got you all in here, including Mr Fantastic. subhanAllaah.
Ibn Khattab, and Abu Muslim, keep the identity a secret.

Event went well , Alhamdullilah... didn't have time to listen to speakers, only caught some of muhammad shareef talk.....in the beginning was well,but end i was just abit disappointed he was talking so much about his institute....khair InshaAllah...
I wish i could have properly listened to Saleem Al amry's talk.....and me thinking balcony duty ment you got to stand there whole time just listening to talks...maybe next year I should just wear that horrible illuminating fire jacket thing...khair InshaAllah
I do hope that the video will be put on the website,so all the brothers and sisters that didnt have a chance to sit down and watch it , can still do so.
All in All , alhamdullilah i think it was a success...
PS: i did really feel uncomfortable when they were putting the pictures of the families up...felt almost like an auction,but I know otherwise it would be more difficult to get them sponosred (thats what one sister of interpal said)...Khair InshaAllah

I think the reason for that was due to their being so much going around about the whole 'AlKauthar or Al Maghrib' and about why the two had both come to the UK. I think it was good that he and Sh Tawfique clarified the issues that had arisen.

Alhamdulilah MashAllah I managed to get a ticket and go...jazakallah to those who helped in that :up: And Alhamdulilah was a good event.
