Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
InshaAllah there will be Qur'an classes starting at Hendon Masjid, NW London everyday after maghrib for us older lot. It is for brothers only inshaAllah and is aimed for those who cannot read arabic at all.
Currently there are only two students and we have started from the Qaidah going through the arabic alphabet.
Classes are free however it is only for those who are dedicated and serious about being able to recite the Book of Allah. Circles of knowledge and proper learning seperates the sincere from the jokers who are addicted to one off events. If you want to learn then inshaAllah we will facilitate that for you with plenty of time given for one on one study, however you must show your dedication by being able to come at least three times a week if not every week day.
Preference is given to those brothers who have absolutely no knowledge of how to read arabic since there isn't the extra effort needed to try and rid bad reading habits from before, but inshaAllah can be flexible if you have some knowledge from before.
Please bring your own qaaidah (The learning arabic book that starts with the alphabet and then builds up), we do not provide anything.

Al-Bukhaari (4937) narrated from ‘Aa’ishah that the Prophet salaAllaahu alayhi wasallam said:
“The likeness of the one who reads Qur’aan and memorizes it is that he is with the righteous honourable scribes.
The likeness of the one who reads it and tries hard to memorize it even though it is difficult for him, he will have a double reward.
