Sisters i have seen different opinion of how should a woman pray i just want to see which opinion do the majority follow please votes

The 2 opinion i heard
1, pray the same as men as the prophet pbuh said pray as u saw me pray this makes sense as the five piller of islam is the same for men and women so why should the way they pray be different, if they pray alone then what the issue?

2, Women pray different to men so they do not reveal their body shapes etc,
JazaKAllah

Astagfirullah, do you mean to say that men can reveal their body shapes etc, of their satr?

Satr should be concealed in a modest way. This rule aplies to both men and women though the area of Satr may be different in different sexes.

............i just want to see which opinion do the majority follow.............

Allah will not judge by the majority. He will insha Allah reward the one that is on the right path even if he is in the minority.

That lin says in one place;

""It is unconditionally preferable according to us (Hanafi jurists) for a woman to sit on her buttocks with her legs positioned out to the right hand side. "

Please tell me from the Sunnah of th prophet what is the siting position of a male according to that website.

Salaams,

When I am able to make Salaat in the "normal" way, I do pray different than the men, for instance Rukoo is not as low as the men (back parallel to the ground) and when going sujood I do so in a way that my "assets" are not sticking out. But as far as sitting on my bum with my legs to the side, this is impossible for me because of my spondylitis, my legs/spine dont bend that way, so I sit as the men do in a normal juloos with my weight on my left foot and the right foot erect. Im not saying this is all proper, it is just the way I was taught, but...

Allah 'Alim

Edit: I did find the following Hadith.....

Abdullah Ibn Umar reports that Rasulullah said, "When a woman sits during salah, she should place her one thigh over the other and when she prostrates, she must attach the stomach to her thighs so that is more concealing for her. Indeed, Allah looks at her and tells the angels, "O My angels! Bear witness hat I have forgiven her. ""

you can find other hadiths here (http://www.shariahprogram.ca/islam-qa-women/women-prayer-different.shtml)

That link is to a very long page. Please mark/cut and paste the relevant passages containing"hadith" and its isnaad. Also provide proof for the "hadith" quoted in your post if it isw authentic. That without authdentic proof cannot supercede that which is authentic.

Do you think that men are allowed to do sujood displaying their "assets" which have more chances of protruding (to put in your own words) if improperly attired?

Modesty is equally binding on both men and women alike.

Do men have the same "assets" as women?

Unless one has studied the deen and ahadith, I would avoid making judgements as to how authentic a hadith is. There is more to it than just stating which book it maybe contained in.

As Nazias stated, I am not a Scholar so it is not up to me to judge if this Hadith is Authentic or just Fiqh opinion. That being said I invite those that are knowledgable to make that call. Please enlighten me, strengthen my deen, after all ugly girls need Dawah too. :nerdsis:

and as far as that being a long page, aboosait, you are right, but I dont have the patience nor the time to copy and paste everything on that page, and aside from the Hadiths mentioned on that link, the rest of that answer refers to the original question in this thread, and if people are really interested then chances are they wont mind reading it all.

Whoa ! , my statement was mearly light hearted/tongue and cheek and meant to be taken as such, afterall humor is funny and smiling is sunnah, :D
and there's no question that modesty is important for both men and women, but this thread asked specifically about Sisters. so there ya go.

So, Brothers, Sisters and Friends of Ummah.com my time here is up and I must leave you now to go nurse my flu/103.6 degree temp. So Salaams, to you all........ you have been a great audience.....try the mutton...and dont forget to tip your servers.....Goodnight!

and just in case there is any question about the last part of my post,.....yes I was trying to be funny
