Yes, but I usually know why I am crying even if I think the reason is silly. :o

Sometimes there is a build up of repressed emotions for me and I can usually sense if I am going to have one of those "crying to feel better" sessions a few days before it happens.

here's a big difference between EMOTIONAL tears and these other kinds of tears. Emotional tears contain 20-25 percent more protein, including various hormones! So what does this mean? WE DON'T KNOW, BUT IT IS VERY INTERESTING.

Other sites are saying much the same thing, that it releases a build up of bad toxins, which is why we feel better afterwards.

This is funny though:

"A man swears to keep from crying. A woman cries to keep from swearing. Both are good emotional safety valves".

i don't cry for the sake of it lol:o

it's a rare occurence, but if i do it's either because i am really hurt, or i see something that touches my heart significantly

i don't think there is anything wrong with it, go for it

i think it helps because the tears act as a 'release' of all the pain/tension that's building up inside, some sort of removal or part removal of the load and pressure you feel

i don't think this is a mystery as such.. it might be the woman doesn't know WHY she is crying, but there is DEFO something bothering her... maybe it's the fact that she can't explain what's wrong

humans are very complex creatures subhanaAllah, there is a lot we can't explain... and many a time, male or female i'm sure we can't explain what or why we are feeling...

yeh but crying is a response to an emotion, whether it be fear, sadness, happiness, grief joy etc...

so if its like a movie, and u cry..it will be something happening that has triggered it...

whereas..

man: "what's wrong?, Why u crying?"
women: "nothing"
man: "ok" :S

Yeah well I don't think there's a reason for it. Women are just too emotional and sometimes you have to get rid off these emotions by crying. I don't know why but it just feels good to cry sometimes with or without a reason.

Maybe someone can post an explanation?

i attempted an explanation lol

i stick to my theory, there is something wrong, either she's not too sure, or she doesn't feel like talking about it...

or it's a combination of things... this is a common one... it may be an accumulation of small things, that by themselves wouldn't cause so much emotiuon but together you feel overwhelmed

i doubt anyone actually cries for no reason....

if you look deep into yourself and deep into your heart, you might find that there is a reason you are crying....

either there are so many reasons, difficulties piled up that you are not even sure which reason it is you are crying over...so u think you are crying for no reason in particular....

or the reason for crying is so complex and so stressful that you do not want to delve into it...therefore ur tears flow and relieve the stress but you dont want to think you are crying about that reason, as that means thinking about it even more...

or maybe you are just crying out of fear of ALLAH The Almighty....maybe you are just crying becoz you have been thinking about your sins...maybe you are just crying becoz you have been thinking about returning to ALLAH so unprepared....:(

just my thoughts....perhaps make little sense :o

Sometimes you just need a good cry. Its natural, normal and perfectly healthy :hidban: Some people can share their emotions and so they bottle it all up and when it gets too much they just end up in floods of tears and act hysterical. Other people cant share and bottle up and just cry bucket loads without getting hysterical and then feel much better :d
Some people can share emotions but also feel the need to keep to themselves and cry alone so that they can deal with their own emotions.
Usually something is bugging is or there is a build up of tension and stresses that triggers this "random" crying. Sometimes we just feel saddened at the state of this duniyah and cry for mercy. SubhanAllah- even these tears are a blessing from Allah, especially if it leads to a softened heart that is in tune with humanity.

Mashallah there are lots of Hadiths regarding this. But not a lot people get this bounty straight away. I mean i only cry if im feeling down or something happens. Then i seek help from Allah and then i cry but here two reasons get mixed. One reason my primary reason for feeling down which is making me cry and second reason seeking help from Allah. But take out the first reason and cry only and only for the sake of Allah. You cant do it only if Allah wishes you to do it. So hard

Brother of course I would, Who wouldn't?

Just because you cry at time you should or when you don't know why doesn't mean your gay, simple put it means you feel!

And if you don't cry at this situation it doesn't also mean you don't feel, your time will come when to cry...only Allah knows when!

Sometimes...when thinking about Allah (SWT), the Prophet (SAW), and the Ummah. Especially when I was reading "The Sealed Nectar" and really got an understanding for how badly the Prophet (SAW), and the early believers, were treated.

Would you cry on somebodys death like who you were close to?

alhamdulillah i havnt experienced death yet within my family at all, which is wierd because people usually my age have usually experienced at least one...im just scared that all of a sudden there might be like 2 or 3 in one go...cause seriously, no1 in my close or extended family has died.

i think if someone died...i wouldnt be able to sleep for days...and it would take me forever to get over it..becasue i just have to think about someone close to me dying and omg thats my whole nights sleep gone...

there was this boy that i didnt really even know, we just used to stand at the bus stop together sometimes early in the mornings and once he offered me chewing gum...he was stabbed and therefore died..i didnt sleep for a week..:(
