Assalaam Alikum.

In response to the "salaat underwater" thread, I was wondering where is your dream place to pray?

For me, I want to pray in the desert with the moonlight:

Okay I will reiterate what I said before. :D hmm... for peacefulness I would want to pray on top a snowy mountain the white cold beauty clearing my mind.

For spirutual purposes I would want to also pray in Al-haram, with millions of other Muslims bowing together....so beautiful.

Other then in the 3 masjids already mentioned, I would love to be able to pray in the cave where the Prophet(SAW) first met Gib'reel

I would like to pray on the top of a high mountain surrounded by water...Being close to nature makes me understand the magnificence of this world and greatness of its Creator...When you see how beautiful the world was created, you praise the Creator...Our world is a miracle...

I've done that, subhanallah. :inlove: :hidban:

But I don't know bro, I think you might not fit. Have you seen what it looks like? It's not really a cave as such.

Oh yeah, and there was some guy up there spouting some stuff about bid'ah. Hope that doesn't happen to you when you get there.

Other than the obvious places..

Behind Muhammad Al-Haidan (Luhaidan? not sure how you spell his name!) But his recitations are capable of bringing anyone to tears!

Also behind Shiekh Shatri, because Ive heard his recitations since I was a little boy.

And of course.. In the desert where our Prophet :saw: walked and prayed.

Yes I have, but there was no snow, it was very pretty though. I got a clear view of Table mountain.

When i read the title - the first thing that came into my head was being alone in the desert around sunset, with a cool breeze. I've been in that position once before (but with many people with me) and mashallah its such a beautiful feeling. everything about our Creator and the magnificence of the world (like alifa said) comes into your head and you think have i done enough in this life....

but of course also jannat (may Allah grant us all Jannatul Firdous), masjid al haram and masjid al aqsa!!! :)

(ooopss... sorry 4 going on...:o)

i ve seen pics inside b4, and it does look small, i believe i saw salat rugs on the floor of the cave now that i think of it....so, they probaly do allow people to pray inside. altho, i am sure probaly only one or two at a time??

why would it be a biddah? why would salat ANYWHERE be a biddah?

apart from the blessed masajid,
i'd like to pray in the rain in the middle of a huge open field,
or on a quiet beach for eesha' listening to the waves
or by a lake for maghrib with the water lapping at the jetty surrounded by pine trees and a log cabin with an open fire....
