The Preparing To Stand Before Allah Series

Allah the Exalted says in His glorious book:

O mankind! Be afraid of your Lord (by keeping your duty to Him and avoiding all evil), and fear a Day when no father can avail aught for his son, nor a son avail aught for his father. Verily, the Promise of Allah is true, let not then this (worldly) present life deceive you, nor let the chief deceiver (Satan) deceive you about Allah.
(Surah Luqman Verse 33)

The thought of standing before our Lord for the questioning is one of unspeakable apprehension. Allah has sworn that this day will dawn upon us and their is none more loyal and truthful to their word than He. By His grace, we have been blessed with Islam as well as our youth and health. We will of a surety be asked about how we used such a great blessing. Did we use it to try raise the kalimah of laa ilaaha illallaah, or did we use it to serve Shaytaan and feed our desires? Hasan Al-Basri (RA) said:

'The world is 3 days: As for yesterday, it has vanished - along with all that was in it. As for tomorrow, you may never see it. As for Today, it is yours so work in it.'

There will certainly come a day when Allah Azza-wa-Jal will command our hearts to beat their last beat, and our lungs to breath their last breath.. so before then, let us seize the moment together and prepare for a day over which there is no doubt. Let us look forward to and love our meeting with Allah and we seek from that one thing in return and one thing alone..that Allah also loves His meeting with us. Allaahumastajib.


And the life of this world is nothing but play and deceiving amusement. But far better is the house in the Hereafter for those who are Al-Muttaqun(the pious). Will you then not understand?' (Surah Al-An'am - Verse 32)

'This life in comparison to the hereafter is nothing except like that which
one of you finds if he sticks his finger into the ocean and then sees what it brings back with it'

So, when they forgot (the warning) with which they had been reminded,
We opened to them the gates of every (pleasant) thing, until in the midst of their enjoyment, all of a sudden We took them to punishment, and lo!
They were plunged into destruction with deep regrets and sorrows.
So the roots of the people who did wrong were cut off.
And all praises and thanks be to Allāh, the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns, and all that exists).
(Surah Al-An'aam ~ Verses 44-5)

May Allah saves us all from the torments of Jahannam. And may He unite us with the Anbiyaa' and Mursaleen in the blessed Jannaat-un-Na'eem.

yeh... now all the qm sisters decided murtaza khan is an awesome speaker too tabarakAllah :rolleyes:

when he said that he thinks that most sisters don't even want him here cos he's too 'harsh'... i was like uhh :rubeyes::rubeyes::rubeyes::rubeyes::rubeyes::rube yes::rubeyes:if he knew how much i was so grateful he was there tabarakAllah he so wouldn't say that :o he can come to our uni everyday and we'll def def def want him there mashaAllah tabarakAllah

That's the main thing, to be able to identify your faults/weaknesses so that you can overcome them/work on them to better yourself.
