Becareful if you like to buy leather products, because some are made of pig skin. These are examples of pigskin leather products. Look closely and carefully at the three dots that are only unique to pig skin.

We can't eat pig. Where in the Quran does it say we can't use it for other purposes? Just curious. I don't like leather of any kind.

I think it's to do with it being an impure animal..

mind you, a lot of IndoPaks have heart attack if a pig comes on television.. or if you say the word :D

reminds me of work. the muslim kids get distressed seeing a piggy in pictures, even the well ard ones, they like ugh miss take it off, we done wanna know about selective breeding in industrial revolution :D

I dont know, but it is dirty but it ent haraam to know about it is it.

as kids we werent allowed to say the word ... when ever we mentioned it, we had to spell the word out ... but wasnt it the same as saying it :confused:

I use the word all the time .. but childhood still haunts me ... i cant watch em on Tv :o

i've always thought that part of it might come from the influence of Hinduism.. there's that whole thing about something 'impure' (e.g. 'untouchables') coming near you or touching something and then that becomes impure, very obsessive compulsive and that's how some Muslims get about pigs.
