They work per hour aswell? Ookay...Hmm thats actually more than I thought it would be, 1,500 for a 30 page mag? *shocked* thats horrendous! Horrendous I say!!

well I haven't done quotes for magazines so I'm nto sure how it is for people in that, but to me 1.5k for 30 pages is alright oh haha, u mean yeah that would be more not less, thats how much id do it for.

i wouldnt do it for less..

depends on the page itself, if its a lot of design the obviously more, and if its more text & article like stuff then probably less.

I'm so confuzzled! Ookay so its text and article stuff....and I actually dont know what I mean by designing the page *smack* just that a brother said his friend was one when I asked how he got his mag up and running...thing is, I could easily design the layout and text of the page...so what exactly is it you guys would do? Like the cover etc... ?

walaikumsalam the template in indesign, graphics on the pages, layouts, inserting the text and images, contents front cover etc...the whole mag, thats usually how it works.

Well there are distribution costs too, lets look at printing first, how much does he want to print, 1000 copies?

other costs involved are sending them out, say 1 quid a piece? not sure how much the cost is for that

but he can make money from adveritisng sales and from the retail price
