I love mice, I used to find them running around my house and I couldn't bring myself to have traps laid out for them.

I tried to catch one once to put it back outside as they were field mice, but it died in my hand. I cried so much that day, gave it a burial and everything.:(

I even came downstairs once to make some toast, put the bread in the toaster, turned it on, and could smell something burning. It was a mouse that had hidden in the toaster, I cried more and buried the toaster. :(

Now I have a cat, you can't cry when nature is at work.

Personally I was always on Jerry's side (it was my favourite cartoon when I was five so the always in that sentence is very long!) because he is more intelligent than tom, and also because he is the underdog, at least in the normal cat and mouse situation. Although in tom and jerry they actually reverse that by having tom always come a cropper. I didn't like the dog much though as a kid, I was rather scared of dogs, but I was pleased that the dog would defend jerry from tom trying to eat him.

tom is the one who keeps trying and trying, after every fall, setback, smack etc he just gets up and carries on trying...has another go at it And in many ways a lot of us relate to that because its life, we are dealt with many setbacks but we keep on trying.

jerry, well jerry he's the "younger" one, but he's the one who knows the world has bigger predators and u have to stay one step in front of them using whatever skills u have to outsmart and outfox the others.
