View Full Version : I had a dream about the Day of Judgement
Assalaam Alikum.
This morning, I had a dream about the Day of Judgement, and it got to me in a way that very few dreams can do.
I was at a hospital for whatever reason, and there were a couple other Muslims there too. I might have been in some Arabic country or something. Someone noted the sun hadn't set yet, and it was after 8:00 pm. As we watched the sun, we then realized it was rising (DOJ Sign: Sun rising in West and setting in East). Immediately, everyone started panicking. Most of the brothers started performing salaat immediately. I myself started recieting shahada over and over again. Outside, there were some earthquakes and lightning (another DOJ sign). As the sun was rising, it was getting hotter and hotter outside because the sun was getting closer to the Earth. Many people were going to Masjids to spend the rest of this life there. I was going to all of my friends and trying to get them to say shahada. I remember I felt terrible because I hadn't done enough before and now it was basically too late.
Then my alarm went off for Fajr. I woke up crying. I had never been so eager to pray Fajr since after I recieted shahada.

Wa Alaikum Salam wa Rahmatullah,
Alhamdulillah, this is a good dream and also a sign of the end of times.
First, I advise you to strive to perfect your khushu and niyyah in your fard ibadat. I also advise you to increase your ibadah by doing more nafl ibadat.
Please remember the ummah in your du'ah.

brother, we must not tell people of our bad or frightening dreams, we must keep them to ourselves and forget about them.

Bro there are many signs of judgement day minor and major, judgement day is still far away.
Nice, i love dreams like that. GReat wake up calls. I've been having loads of nightmares recently.
Volume 9, Book 87, Number 144:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle SAW said, "When the Day of Resurrection approaches, the dreams of a believer will hardly fail to come true, and a dream of a believer is one of forty-six parts of prophetism, and whatever belongs to prothetism can never be false." Muhammad bin Sirin said, "But I say this." He said, "It used to be said, 'There are three types of dreams: The reflection of one's thoughts and experiences one has during wakefulness, what is suggested by Satan to frighten the dreamer, or glad tidings from Allah. So, if someone has a dream which he dislikes, he should not tell it to others, but get up and offer a prayer." He added, "He (Abu Huraira) hated to see a Ghul (i.e., iron collar around his neck in a dream) and people liked to see fetters (on their feet in a dream). The fetters on the feet symbolizes one's constant and firm adherence to religion." And Abu 'Abdullah said, "Ghuls (iron collars) are used only for necks."
Book 029, Number 5613: Abu Salama reported: I used to see dreams (and was so much perturbed) that I began to quiver and have temperature, but did not cover myself with a mantle. I met Abu Qatada and made a mention of that to him. He said: I heard Allali's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: A good vision comes from Allah and a (bad) dream (hulm) from devil. So when one of. you sees a bad dream (hulm) which he does not like, he should spit on his left side thrice and seek refuge with Allah from its evil; then it will not harm him.
Sahih Muslim
Book 029, Number 5618: Abu Qatada reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The good vision are from Allah and the evil dreams are from the satan. If one sees a dream which one does not like, one should spit on one's left side and seek the refuge of Allah from the satan; it will not do one any harm, and one should not disclose it to anyone and if one sees a good vision one should feel pleased but should not disclose it to anyone but whom one loves.
Sahih Muslim
