why I love my Somali sisters

Here she comes by me with her face so happy indeed
no matter where i bump in2 her, the reaction is always the same
her smile so wide and her eyes so glittery and bright
her community i like because they never pass without sayin salam

even if i meet her on the bus, she draws near to me quicker than a heart's beat
Mash'allah, these people have a blessing wen it comes to makin u feel at ease
they will always make the effort to talk to you
and you know will always crack you up at any time

after jus two or three talks,
ur rolling on together like you've known each over for very long months
yeh its true I'm not a somali
but their character I like,

I am yet to meet one who I do not get along with
since the beginning of my life,
alot of somalis I have befriended and they all share the same quality
n this is being who you are no matter what anyone else thinks!

its so true though subhanAllah i went to london for the weekend and i dont have contact with many muslims here so it meant a lot to me to be there, and i ended up sitting outside regents park masjid crying my eyes out cos no sisters there who walked past me, replied my salam, and i though subhanAllah if we cant even reply the salam anymore ... what has become of this ummah :(

but subhanAllah as i was going round london after that, everywhere i went in shops and on the streets my somali sisters would walk by me and smile and tell me as salamu alaikum sister :D may Allah ta ala reward them all amin!

it really made my weekend :inlove:

yeh that is so true,subhanallah! when i started werin hijab, the only sisters to wish me salam wer the SOMALI sisters! aand it was soo beautiful and really encouragin n made me feel like i was part of such a BEAUTIFUL UMMAH!! I cannot describe the feelings in words!!!

yeh that is so true,subhanallah! when i started werin hijab, the only sisters to wish me salam wer the SOMALI sisters! aand it was soo beautiful and really encouragin n made me feel like i was part of such a BEAUTIFUL UMMAH!! I cannot describe the feelings in words!!!
