I love watching documentaries on nature - richard attenborough, Big cat diary etc etc.

When a lion and a tigress mate - have a look what they produce.

SUBHANALLAH!!

If you got any clips of nature that are amazing then feel free to post.

There's the pakistani snow leopard and that animal is just breathtaking, I see if I can find some clips.

I can't believe you mongoloids actually believe them

They cross-breed them, lions and tigers are enemies in the wild
and I don't think it's pretty, if ligers were natural they would take over the world  they'd eat five of us for lunch

Obviously they are bred in captivity **roll eyes**

But that doesnt decrease from their beauty :inlove: - And also apparently the liger is just too big and slow to effectively survive in the wild. Its unclear whether it would be a pride animal like Abba, or a solitary hunter like Amma. But it seems highly unlikely that if it were to be a solitary hunter its size and lack of speed would give it little chance of survival in the harsh plains of AfreeKA.

lol.

MMS: how do u put up a youtube clip thing in a thread where u click it and u can see the beginning pic? dunno if its makes sense, but like it is in favourite nasheed thread. How do I do that?

ever seen a tigon?

There are some pics of them aswell but they dont grow as large as the liger, infact I tihnk a fullgrown tigon is smaller than an adult lion/tiger.

They think the reason the liger can grow so large is because the growth-inhibiting hormone is coded for by the Tiger, and as liger has a Lion as its daddy (lol) - the hormone isnt present. Thats teh theory anyway.

But aint they cute. I'd love one of them as pet. :coolbro:

First prize in the contemporary issues singles category was won by South African photographer Brent Stirton. While working for Newsweek he pictured the evacuation of dead Mountain Gorillas at Virunga National Park, Eastern Congo.

The Gorilla is dead and is being carried out by what I assume are the park workers.

Aye, that’s right, and when nature and man collide, nature usually suffers.

It’s particularly appalling in the Amazon where not just the rain forest is suffering, but the indigenous tribes as well. As the forest shrinks, so will their traditional lifestyle disappear - there is no need for hunting and fishing if there is nothing left to catch because all the animals have fled or been starved to extinction and there is no point in passing the secrets of natural medicine down the generations, if the plants required have disappeared subhan’Allah.

Until we stop putting profit before people and the planet, the destruction of the beauty of Allah ta'ala's earth will continue unabated. :(

They are too large and too slow to successfully survive on their own in the wild. Whatever their max speed, its not fast enough in the african jungle.

And :jkk: for the explanation on embedding clips.
