Tried baby's food ?

:salams

I was eating some Ready Brek the other day, when my wife had a taste, as said that it tasted like baby food. So, I'm wondering if anyone else has tried it, and what does it taste like ? :D

no.. haven't eaten it since I was a baby

you dont have to give the specific bought "baby food" though can make purees from normal things in ur house like fruit n vegetables, its better than to giv only the shop jar ones cos that gets them used 2 a manufactured taste

Scientists have tried to make a "mouse flavored" cat
food, but every attempt so far...the cat's hated the taste.

Why? As long as its food that a cat would naturally eat, why should it make a difference? (I don't know, just curious).

Imagine a cat rolling up its sleeves, grabbing a nice sharp knife, and going 'innee wajjahtu wajhi... before cutting the jugulars.

Dunno, doesn't it depend on what the mince is of? I'm sure a moggy would be quite partial to some rat mince :meow:

The funniest is when people say 'it tastes like crap'.

Do they not realise what they're implying?

lol.

But seriously, if we keep a cat, are we held accountable for what we feed it ?
If we buy a tin of Whiskas instead of going to the local Halal butchers, is there a difference ?

well, don't take my word for it (I don't know the Islamic position - maybe somebody else can help), but logically, I don't see why feeding them food they would eat anyway, and happily kill quite brutally, might be wrong just because it hasn't been slaughtered right. (I mean it's not as if the cat slaughters it the Islamic way - as ordained for human beings).

Having said that, I'm sure it'd be nice, if possible, to feed it halal food.

Another thought: how about when we need to kill an animal that is haram for us to eat, but that is necessary to feed the animal we're caring for. Surely in that case - there is no way for us to feed the animal 'halal' meat - as that meat would always be haram for us.

Just thoughts...find out from somebody who knows the legal rulings.

Baby food is disgusting - ive tried it a few times. I dont know how baby eat that stuff. Anyways they only eat baby food for a few months, the powdered baby milk carries on longer, and that tastes even worse, what do they make that stuff out of?

Question

what about ones pets that can't eat fish because they are allergic? what can one give them? knowcan one give them the cat food that has meat and meat derivatives in it since they are allergic to fish.

Answer

If one’s pet cannot eat fish and there is no other alternative besides meat derivatives, then he will be excused for giving his pet meat derivative. and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best

Tried baby's food ?

all the time. I always taste a bit of my baby's food in case its too hot or something. Plus I have this opinion that I won't make my baby eat something that I wouldn't want to eat myself (albeit that I'd prefer more texture than what a 6-8 month old baby would have lol)

Good thing too cause my mum was making food for the family which my baby was going to have some of (cause it was soft and mushy) but my mum got the chilli and paprika mixed up so it was waaaaaaaaay spicy!!!! If I hadn't tasted it in advance my poor lil baby would have got a mouthful of chilli!! (my mum mananged to rescue the meal with lots of yoghurt n other cool stuff but it was still too hot for my baby so she had fish fingers instead lol)

Making your own baby food is fun :hidban: Some of the recipes you add a little more seasoning and multiply the ingredients by 10 and you have an adult meal lol
