yes husband bros are ghayr mahram.
wedding will have to be segregated, or if they cant guarentee that she is gna have to cover. we cant become lenient for the day just because it is wedding.. because still that is her awrah and still they are not permitted to see
True, this is why its best to have a segregated wedding and if thats not possible, then the bride should be covered appropriately.

asalamu alaikum wr
aye, yeah, segregation is a major issue in weddings, and because of culture issues the free mixing continues well after the wedding.
ws
The cultural thing comes from so that people can come together and look for potentials. Mothers are on the look-out during those weddings, some women will try to get the attetion of men and vice versa. It's cheating the beauty of two people marrying. They come together in front of Allah (swt) for this day and behind them there's that going on - its ironic.

Well
this is my story. Im in Pakistan at the moment me and my dad came my mum is still over i the uk and shes commin in 2 weeks or so (getting a propper wedding done).. When i came with my dad my nikkah was done and we havent had a propper wedding yet.. which every one says it has be done, Okay so from the sart ive beeen going infront off my hubby's brothers....and eveything but now i do propper veil and stuff.. and they still come sometimes. and now its hard to cover my face from them and on the actual wedding day if i say anything to my mum and i dont want it all mixed with everyone my mother in-lw probaby will say '' huh what'' and shes not going to take any notice maybe. ( thats what i reckon)
On the day of your wdding how do you manage to read slaat then? when they dress you up you can hardly move and they do TONS of makeup...people say you cn make qaza of te slaa's you missed. I Dont believe inthat tough i think its wrong

what time of the day are u doing wedding? sometimes u can put it in a time which is easy for salah, like after maghrib bc isha u can still pray it later like b4 u sleep and it wont b qadha.
about the face, depending which opinion u follow, if u are that its not wajib to cover face but mustahab, there wont be sin in keeping face open.. but face and hands is all u can have infront of non mahram, so its better if u are able to get it segregated otherwise ur very restricted in what clothes u can have.
can u ask ur husband to bring up this issue to his family?

No no i totally believe that we have to cover faces an everything in frnt of ghair mehrams. totally. i dont think i can say it to him... its wierd talking to him about it because its his brothers which ill be talking about and it seems pretty harsh. But i really dont want any one to see me.
We normally have our weddings in the day. I'll mke sure its in afer maghrib lol
the people who believe that its not sinful for showing your face to a ghair mehram - I think that totally wrong and that :) it should be the same for all people ( it is as a matter of fact)

You can't miss your Salah on your wedding day or any other day for a fact. If you're gonna miss your Salah because of makeup and clothes, then just wear a jabba. Salah comes first, then the clothes and all that. But I'll tell you I've seen a bride all dressed up and praying Salah as well, so there shouldn't be a problem insha'Allah.
Wassalan.
Is it permissable to do wudhu and then pray with makeup applied?! Ive heard so many people say that if you do your wudhu first and then apply makeup it is ok to pray Salaah cos youre in a state of wudhu?

there is valid ikhtilaaf about the face matter, therefore it is not correct to condem the other opinion. where there is a valid ikhtilaaf there are ettiquettes... of course that does not apply when people make up some crazy opinion from nowhere but this is a view which u will find within some of the madhahib and they hav evidence for that, just as there is evidence for the former view..
but you can say to ur husband, its not offensive to him to say that his bros are not ur mahram and u need to cover infront of them. that is a fact not an insult, insha allah it will be okay

well if you read the lists of things which break ur wudu, nowhere does it include "applying make up." so when there is no evidence to state that it breaks the wudu, we dont presume that it does
but actually earlier today i did read a qa about this, so i will find it again and paste it
http://qa.sunnipath.com/issue_view.asp?HD=1&ID=1419&CATE=3
and
http://qa.sunnipath.com/issue_view.asp?HD=7&ID=12305&CATE=3206
2nd one specifies that u have to make sure it doesnt hav impure ingredients, otherwise it is okay

I was just wondering because 2 weeks a go when i was praying fajr and was very sleepy i accidently scraped my hand against the metal piece of my desk and it started bleeding. I didn't stop praying or prayed again, just patched it up and went to sleep.
No i got access jazakallah anyways.

Ummm yeah i've had far worse actually, i'm always so sleepy at fajr when i wake up, almost fell down the stairs once
Other time i was making wudu and burned my hand because the tap was all the way to the left( ultra hot) and i got burned bad :(
I think it's the shaitan trying to discourage me from waking up, he sure is doing a good job. At this rate in 5 years i'll probably be disabled :crying2:
