Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

I am posting again to inform you of another opportunity to start, or continue your existing Arabic language studies insha'Allah.

My ustadh (Mokhtar ben-Fredj), has organised another trip from the 10th to the 26th April - just over 2 weeks of study. This trip will be to Fes in Morocco. All details including the application form are attached below.

This is open to students at all levels, including complete beginners. Students are placed in the level suited to them.

This trip will, as I understand it, be in addition to the usual month long summer trip to Syria which will still be organised insha'Allah: Ustadh Mokhtar was talking about that last week too! So if you can't go for a month in the summer, then perhaps this two week trip is more suited to your schedules.

You will have the opportunity to study not only Arabic language, but also tajweed ul qur'an. I can personally vouch for tajweed study as being vitally important in my ongoing pursuit to perfect my Arabic pronunciation, insha'Allah. It's not easy, but most definitely necessary. This trip is of course open to all; anyone who feels the desire in their heart to study the language of the Holy Qur'an.

The deadline for receipt of application and all fees is 15 February 2008!

I will check this thread regularly - if you have any questions, please leave a message. Alternatively, you can contact Ustadh Mokhtar using any of the following methods:

Mokhtar Ben Fredj: 07891993320 /07877726182
mail@arabic4adults.org.uk/ mokhtar42@hotmail.com

Insha'Allah some of you will be able to go. Jazak Allah Khayr for reading.

Wassalam

Ameen. :jkk: Sister Anna.

OK, slight update. I had an Arabic lesson yesterday evening where my Ustadh told me that most people are asking that the trip can be moved to the Easter holidays instead (22nd March - 6 April) as after the holidays excludes them for work and other reasons.

Ustadh Mokhtar is now looking into this, including the possibility of booking tickets during the holidays but for the same price. Direct flights would be difficult, but he was talking about the possibility of flying on Iberia Airlines via Madrid to Casablanca, then a coach onto Fes.

So the dates are a little fluid at the moment but if you are interested, please do leave a message on this forum which I will respond to insha'Allah; or contact Ustadh Mokhtar on his contact details given above.

I attach the documents below, slightly modified to include both dates.

If this Easter is difficult, then there is still Syria in the summer insha'Allah (25 July to 28 August (ish) - four whole weeks of Arabic, tajweed, and haggling for your breakfast! :D There's little better than haggling in the souqs to improve your Arabic - it teaches you to think quickly! :)

One more thing: I just realised that I wrote this message generally, but there are brothers and sisters on this forum from across the world. We are UK based so the likelihood is that most of the students will be from the UK. We did have a German/Turkish sister who went to Syria with us last year - Ustadh Mokhtar organised her return flight and visa from Germany to Damascus where she joined up with the rest of us who had flown in from the UK. If non-UK people are interested in going to Morocco on this latest trip, do contact Ustadh Mokhtar anyway; he may be able to organise something.

If he can't then there's nothing lost.
