This is for my brothers who are locked up in a cage
Without air or sunlight, 23 hours a day
For the crime of being muslim, you’ve been made to pay
But inshallah may you be rewarded on judgement day

I know that the community may seem to forget you
But don’t worry believers, Allah(swt) is with you
The muslims may not write or send you a card
But Inshallah they would if they realised it’s fard

I apologise in advance for those who had no time
Who could not even write or post one single line
I know they’ve got so much better things to do
Like watching films and dvds, whilst neglecting you

Some of the brothers have been physically attacked
Where is the community to watch their back
But still these brothers stay solid as a rock
Even when beaten in the punishment block

And what has happened to all the imams
Supporting the prisoners is part of imaan
Yet still they stay silent, neglecting the ummah
Instead it’s a fourth lecture on wudu for jummah

In this climate of fear, some muslims are frightened,
To send you a card, with security so heightened
They all seem to think that sending a letters a crime
It’s a myth by the government to make you all toe the line!

What happened to “the muslim is the brother of another”
So if a muslim is in jail, we all go undercover?
If we were in that position, would we all feel worse or better,
If a fellow muslim picked up that pen, and wrote us a letter?

Is this the state of the muslims, quiet and meek
But Islam stays strong though some muslims are weak
Not in their physique but in their imaan
Though some would say this is all Allahs(Swt) plan

Indeed it is a test, to help the prisoners
The message is clear, are there any listeners?
We wont get a chance to live this life again
So put down that shisha, and pick up that pen!
