This organization found it fit to mention that Hizb ut-Tahrir is not setting up marriage based events. Hizb ut-Tahrir is a politcal organization working to re-establish the Khilafah. What does this organization do to bring back the Deen of Allah? Should we all call you out now because your not working for it? No, because that is stupid. Your an organization that is working for marriage. they are an organization working to re-establish Khilafah. Subhan'Allah, the level of thinking in this Ummah has surpassed rock bottom.

from what i can see, they are helping muslims to complete half their deen, if you have any other complaints, their contact number is at the bottom.

no complaints about what they're doing. Its very good that they are doing that. But its pretty stupid when you criticize other organizations with COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AGENDA'S for not doing the same thing.

I've been to numerous of these events and they're very good. I'd recommend everyone gives it a try. The ethnic orientd ones are not exclusive, anyone can go along as long as they're open to marrying that ethnicity. It's just that the reality is, most Muslims want to stick to their own kind even if they don't admit it. In the past, for example none of the Afro/Carribean participants had any interest from the Asian ones, so they thought they'd set up events catering to their needs.

did u go by yourself bro?

does it feel like ur in a cattle market? (most people refer to it in this manner for some reason)

tell us about ur experiences if u dont mind

Raashid
28-01-08, 09:22 AM
I din't think it was like a cattle market, I never got the impression anyone else did either. You have a brief intro, then you're split into groups, where you have a 5 minute discussion on topics related to marriage or life in genral as a Muslim, so you can get get an idea of different candidate's views and personality, then you swap over to the next group. After that, you look at the profiles of the candidates and ask the facilitators if they'd like to speak to you further. If they do you have a meeting seprately.

my friend goes to these events quite frequently and she says she finds them just like u have said, i.e. good.

I personally i dont have the courage to go , i think i would probably faint of shyness, if i had to sit in front of a prospective:rubeyes: hence i admire those who attend halal events like this, cos it must be hard
