Salam Alaykum,

This is a question which I would like the knowledgeable Muslims to answer Insha Allah:

On one of the Da'wah sites, a writer claims, among other things, that:

It is in this to which I implore that Muslims should not adhere to the so-called “virgin birth” of Prophet Jesus(as) as such a concept goes against the nature that Almighty God has Created for us.

So is this person going against the Ijma' of the Muslims, and if so, what is the ruling concerning this matter?

It is Answering - Christianity. They do have certain good arguments at times, but some of their contributors also have strange comments they make every once in a while, like the one I posted to start this thread.

There are lots of deviant ideas propagated on answering-christianity.com . The site is not run by a scholar or aalim, but merely a keyboard mullah, who has some good arguements, but lots of deviant ones too.

Akhi, It doesn't matter if the Whole world says he wasn't born a Virgin Birth,

Allah Tabarak Wata'ala Describes in the Glorious Furqan, that Christ(pbuh) Esa(as) was Born without any Man Touching his mother Maryam/Mary(as) ...

Whoever said that He wasn't born of a Virgin Birth is Going against the Quran, against Allah Ta'ala ... the Ijma of the Muslims is not needed here ...

this is so disturbing...one can't be a muslim and not believe that Isa (peace be upon him) was born of a virgin mother (peace be upon her), that's denying Allah's words in the Quran

Wait!

I have an idea, but could be wrong.

Many people confuse the Christian doctrine of the Virgin Birth with the Christian doctrine of the Immaculate Conception.

The doctrine of the Immaculate Conception teaches that Mary, the Mother of Jesus, was without sin.

Maybe this guy at answering-christianity has the two doctrines confused, or thinks that the Virgin Birth necessarily implies the Immaculate Conception.
