Salam people. Ordinarily i think i like challenges. But anytime i face a challenge that seems to be complex, i feel a scared. some times i even dogde (correct spelling?) completely.
An example is that i program with VB6.0 but i have not being improving as much as i would like. There is a program i am writing and someone introduced another dimension to the program to me and then i start feeling as if i cant accomplish it. Please advise me somebody.

Mmm just bcuz u dont "go-get-it" when it cuzm to challenges dosnt mean ur lazy, to class sum1 as lazy u have to take a lot more in2 account than their work issues, maybe ur just not good at change and arnt gr8 when it come's to doing something diffrent thats why when faced with such a prospect u shy away from it?

Perhaps the term "lazy" might not appropriate-too harsh. It think its "changes" that you don't seem to like and hence you lose focus. Don't worry too much about though. Its quite normal to get scared at times. Nevertheless, it becomes a problem if you allow it to dictate your life. Be open to new ideas and look at them with optimism.

i think you dont believe in yourself, you might not think you're capable enough but the Prophet (Pbuh) has said "Whoever works hard, he gains (accomplishes) .. And its dodge :)

You just might have hit the nail on the head with that. But what do you think i can do about it. I have this self confidence problem at times, I have been working on it (and though i'm improving) it's still there.

Any advice?

Think about all your past accomplishments, if you werent capable you wouldnt have achieved those.. Everybodys capable but not everybody works at the same pace so you gotta relax

All i can say is never give up, be confident, sometimes you may not feel up to puttin the effort in coz of the drag but the feelin you get once the task is accomplished makes it all worthwhile

And you did say you have this self confidence problem but its been improvin since you been workin on it, see thats gettin somewhere! i hope i helped
