:salamsSalam everyone,
i am a gcse student who is in urgent need. I have my science modulars coming up in two weeks, and i dont think i'm ready. i study the three sciences biology, chemistry and physics, but the problem is that we are studying a new syllabus - the 21st century science syllabus which is very hard. :(
Does anyone have any tips on how to revise properly (coz things are not going into my head) and any past papers that i can download. or any revision notes that may be useful. i made my own revision notes, which im revising now. In chemistry and biology, i get A*'s and A's in my end of unit tests  and in physics a range from C-A. but the problem is when it came to my modulars last yr i got a's and b's, :( but im expected higher.....could anyone help???? Please.....
sorry for the long message
:jkk:
jazakallahukhairan, may Allah reward all of you inshallah

Since your exams are soon I would suggest going through past papers, then any questions you get really stuck on read up about those particular topics. You can usuallly get some past papers from the exam boards website e.g. edexcel website, AQA website. Look at these, have a go at them and then if you find say that you get a B on one your doing as a practice check the mark scheme to see exactly what it is that you're missing out in your answers. Dont stress, Inshallah you'll be fine :)

lol join the party, i have my mocks next week and i wish i would die before it happens :S
personally i just take down the important points and take down notes (incl diagrams e.g alimentary canal) and print them out, after that i make sure that i know everything on the paper(s) inside out.
if im sure that i could answer any question about these topics, i go to bbc.co.uk/bitesize or a similar site and answer a few questions (higher lvl)
and then ask the my teachers to give me more tough challanging questions :)
hope this helps and insha'ALLAH u will pass with the gardes u want

if u have than go over past papers and exam questions

for IGCSE 4 days is no way near enough, biology has so much words to learn, chemistry formulas and words (including ions etc) and physics SOOOO MANY FORMULAS:rubeyes:
i dont even what to get started with the mathematics

Jazakumullahukhairan for replying!!!! May Allah reward and help all of you inshallah. Your comments have helped me and made me worry less. Firstly, the ocr 21st century science is mostly muliple choice or one word answer questions, which may seem easy but actually is harder because you have to read the question 3 times, so that you know your ticking the right box!!!
I have revised, and I am in the process of revising again but I HATE REVISING!!!!!!!!! LOL (well who enjoys it??!!) ;)
the problem with our syllabus is that tey dont have any past papers or exam questions except for our mock exam and another paper that came with this revision guide that i bought, i've checked the website but they dont have any past papers except for our mock paper. :(
Ana Mujahid for our physics (lucky us) most of the formulas are given to us at the front of the exam paper. Which syllabus are you doing?? our modulars ae worth 16.5% of our final grade!!!!!!
I just did my mocks and my grades were not that good - but then i blame myself for not revising properly but mostly for not reading the questions properly!!!!!! I got 2 B's and an A! Just missed the above grade with 1 mark!! soo annoying when that happens!!
MY TIP 2 EVERYONE READ THE QUESTIONS PROPERLY!!
Anyway, may Allah help all with their exams and inshallah you all get your desired grades. may Allah make the exams easy for us!!!:D:up:
