What are your thoughts Brothers and Sisters?

I guess you mean assuming the Wagyu animal were slaughtered Islamically?

But still, what about the alcohol that the animal is fed? That has to be at least questionable, don't you think?

We had some grade A5 steaks a couple of weeks ago (that we ordered from the web actually!). They are wonderful. But I've never seen a halal source for them.

Is this why Americans are so fat?

You can buy Halaal Wagyu

Mulwarra has a long term alliance with the largest quality Wagyu processor in Australia. We are able to supply F1 Wagyu Beef as individual loin cuts or full sets. This product is the result of a long and successful breeding program combining Full Blood Japanese Bloodline Wagyu Bulls over Holstein cows. The Wagyu progeny are slaughtered at a live weight of approximately 800-900kg having been grain fed for over 500 days.
During production all primal cuts are labelled and fully traceable with a whole of life history maintained for each animal. To further guarantee the healthy nature of the product none of the livestock are treated with antibiotic or hormonal growth promotants, nor do they have access to any genetically modified feeds. Calves are weaned off milk and are then fed a diet of natural pastures and cereal based supplements. All feedstuffs are grown in Australia and only quality assured feed mills are used for ration production. This allows an absolute guarantee that NO genetically modified products are used in the rations. All our Wagyu is available Halal on request

This company also sell's pork.

OK, Shaquille, were you just talking about cattle that are of the Wagyu breed (or partially Wagyu mixed with other breeds like we have here in America).

If that's the case, then I can see how it could be halal. It's just like any other cattle.

But generally when you go a restaurant or something and ask for Wagyu or Kobe, you're talking about cattle raised in that traditional way.

So I guess I'm not sure which you meant?

Of course not. But of all things why did you point out Kobe beef as the reason Americans are fat? Or did I misunderstand your comment?

I suspect few Americans have even tried real A5 or A4 Kobe.

Thanks Mace... Australia has farms where they sell Wagyu... I was thinking about going to an Abattoir over the next weekend and finding out if they are able to supply halal Wagyu... but having read the stuff they feed the animal, its logical to think that this meat cannot be halal as the animal is on the booze 24/7...

Bro, I went to their website but if you thnk about it, the animal is on the booze... so, its like trying to buy an Islamically slaughtered animal that drinks alcohol... hmmmm, didnt quite add up... Allah knows best so its best to avoid things that we have a doubt about...

I always thought they rubbed the sake into the cow's skin. I don't think they actually get the cow drunk.

I would think that so long as the Wagyu is slaughtered according to shariah ruling then it would be considered halal, but Allah knows best.

Well if that's the case, then it's totally jacked up. Can't just get an animal drunk like that, it's terrible.
