i just got one the other day..cos the gas supply in my room isnt working so i got no heater...
but the electric blanket is really good..i highly recommend it :D

LOL..i only have it on abt 10 miinutes before i get into the bed, and then i pull the plug out :D

Yeh you're mean't to unplug it when you get into bed. We used to have a couple of old electric blankets, dunno what happened to them but I could do with one of those now.

hey..its an old building..with no central heating or anything, and the heater in my room doesnt work..so its the only thing to keep me warm :D

so u must have to turn it off b4 actually sleepin innit :confused:
but it sounds good mashaAllah, nights can be chilly even when my heater is on coz there is just a nip in the air...

Still I might try this, if its too expensive, I'll stick to 3 blankets! Feel more comfy :)

sometimes its too late mate, already got 3rd degree burns and maybe u cant move. then u just gota wait and see if anyone can smell smoke. and if u live by yourself subhanAllah, long wait. but yeah to be honest i think u may be right and the pain would have woken u up loooong ago!
3 blankets! yeah dat does sound quite cosy actually, maybe try that inshaAllah :up:

im too weary of stuff like that... i just use extrea blankets at the moment i cover with 2 blankets and 3 shawls:D works a treat:hidban:

and plus..i somehow dozed off last night..and when i woke up this morning ..i was soo hot..and i realised i left it on all night :eek:
so nuh uh im not taking a chance again....
hmm...ill just get a normal blanket...

This is no joke, not far from where i live there was this family who had lots of children Masha'allah the lady was virtually a baby machine, a baby every year or less than that almost.
they got a few asda trollies and padded them with electric blankets and turned them into baby cots.
something must have caught fire and the fire brigade were called out to put out a fire and thats how we heard about it.. it was in the paper.
