Assalam u alaikum,
A man and woman were walking across the road when someone asked what is your relationship? The man rather then simply telling the relationship answered in the form of a riddle....
"My mother-in-law and her mother-in-law are mother and daughter"
What was their relationship?

He is her husbands maternal aunties husband?

ie. Her husband's khala's husband.

Or she is his wife's sister's son's wife.

Or she could also be his daughter in-law.

I hated these questions - they always confused me :torture:

Relationship is husband and wife?
Both the in-laws are mothers and daughters but not to each other?

Mum and son?

The Mum/Son relationship requires that you are married to your cousin ( Daughter of your Father's Sister)....What if your father doesn't have a sister? The solution that I have requires nothing so suppose... It will be valid in all conditions....

Well, I guess one solution would be the woman is the man's daughter-in-law. (the man is the woman's father-in-law)

As you can see from the answer i.e (the man is the woman's father-in-law) that the Mother in law of the woman will be actually the wife of the Man... and the Mother in Law of the man will be the mother of his wife....

I was asked this about 12 years ago by my uncle and I got it within minutes...:D... But my mother and father and all other family members were never able to figure it out.... Its so easy.... Just put yourself into the position of the man or woman and start guessing...

Yes, you did. I missed that as well.

And I actually think your other answers were correct possibilities as well. So you really had 3 solutions before anyone else had even one.
