Salam,

Im stuck. I have a negitive balance (-£50) and I got a call today from paypal telling me they going to do stuff if I don't pay it asap. I've had the negitive balance for about a month or 2. I want to use my sisters card to remove the negitive balance but I don't know if that is possible? If it is how do I do it?

I phoned paypal and they said that you have to do it online. Usually the sned a small amount of money to your bank balance to confirm its your account. I think that needs to be done if you want to add funds to your account. But it'll take 7-9 days! Thats too long. What do I do?

So you don't have a bank account (deposit account) linked to your paypal account now?

It sounds like you don't. If not, I don't know of any other way to fund your paypal account.

But why does it matter if it takes 7-9 days? If you explain to them that you're in the process, I doubt they would pursue further collection activity. They understand it takes a few days to process.

BTW, in the US at least, it never takes as long as they say to fund the account or to make withdrawals.

Are you in the US or a different country?

I do have a deposit account. I have an overdraft on it so I can't take money out. So I was going to add my sisters card onto my paypal and transfer the money from her account to pay off the negitive. Im in uk.

Well, would it be quicker to just transfer money from her account into your deposit account? If it's a local transfer it should be quick. And then transfer to your paypal account.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you do owe money to your bank also. So maybe you could solve both problems at the same time.

Thanks.

If the PayPal account is registered under your name...how will you add your sister's bank account or card?

Thats right, it will cause more problems.

How did you end up with -£50? Did you use a VCC?

If you have a bank account attached to Paypal i suggest you put money in your account in one way or another and pay Paypal off. The more you delay the more it "may" cost i.e. "Administration" charges.

Let me know how it goes.
