Assalam Alikum.

This is a house I designed. I worked with an architect for about a month designing this house. This was designed as an upscale modern house for a young growing family. 2 Bedroom, 2 bath, kitchen, family room, dining room, 2 car garage, etc. One side of the house has glass walls, the other side has stone walls. On the glass side, there's an indoor garden that connects to the outdoor garden, giving a feeling of spaciousness. The other side has stone walls, and gives a feeling of warmth and security. These two different sides of the house are highlighted by a roof design that splits into two different directions, opposite of a conventional roof.

MashAllah, i particularly like the top picture. Top work. Although the bottom one, might seem a little out of dimension or isit just my 2 D eyes?

Yeah, I messed up a little bit on the driveway in the second pic. Also, the way I took the picture disorts the perspective, so yes your eyes are fine. ;)

I have no idea how to use any program. I'm used to doing things by hand. I tried CAD last year, and that was overwhelming

Ooh Wolfn, that's an amazing and unique plan ya got there! Are you thinking of persuing architecture as a career? There's lots of demand for it, but do be prepared to lose your own 'ideas' for a while at first. *sigh* ... there's the amazing talent and insight of designers, and then there's the critical, cost-cutting eye of those who are actually building it and usually when people say they want something "different" what they mean is they want what everyone else is doing right now...

So definitely let your imagination run wild and keep a folder of all your ideas and all your plans, and never let anyone tell you they can't be built! Someone will eventually want to build exactly what you've designed! :D

But you definitely need to take AutoCAD classes. It's industry standard, everyone from architects, engineers, surveyers, even city and county use AutoCAD these days!

Don't ever EVER let anyone EVER talk you into using such wretched programs as SoftPlan. *shudders to even think the name*

Mashallah, good stuff :D

Get your head around CAD and Cha-Ching!

But dude seriously CAD isn't that bad... When I was 15 I did work experience for some architecture and learnt a bit - its well fun after a while and you can pick it up as you go along Inshallah... Lol - if you don't have to watch the US version of The Office to realise we;re moving away from paper and onto screens! :p
