did anyone watch the show my fake baby last night on channel 4?
what is the world comig to. This is what happens when people have no deen,
they go crazy hehe. i was shocked.....

i watched it... subhanAllah.... even their husbands thougth they were bonkers
one woman went to harrods to buy a baby bottle and baby clothes.. and when the sales assistant peered into the pram to look at the baby her face went :eek:... they do look ish real but obv u can tell a real baby from a fake one
it was sad man... and one of them it's well scary... her daugther ahd a son and then her daugther had cancer so she had to look after her grandson a lot of the time... then when her daugther got the all clear from cancer and met a new man they moved to new zealand
and would u believe she asked her daugther to give her, her son :eek: obv she said no...so then she had a 'fake baby' made to resemble him exactly... and then said.. 'no-one can take him away from me now'
astagfirullah man, u help ur daugther out.. n then u try and take her son
on the flip side.. atleast they weren't making real babies and not looking after them :(

It was erm.. disturbing. Completely :wacko: to be honest.
What i want to know is who in their right mind would think to set up such a business? And to think it was actually in business, like there is actually a market for these weird custom made babies!
I can't believe one of the women spent 300 pounds on 3 items of clothing for here fake baby. I wouldnt even spend that if i had a real baby!!! And then when she found a small scratch on the back of its head and was like "No! It's not perfect. I can't have this." I can't believe she travelled to America to collect it in the first place!
I felt sorry for the grandmother though. She had some kind of attachment problems with her grandson. But the other women had no excuse!
Just shows how the world is such a diverse place!

i didnt watch it but it looked proper disturbing just the adverts :nervous:
wots even more scary is how they are actually convincing themselves that this baby is real they love it and all.
surely although people may say well thats better for them than not having a baby, but c'mon deep down they must still feel empty :(

As...odd as that was, am I the only one who feels rather sorry for these women? You'd have to be rather desperate to resort to fake dolls.

yh i knw but ther still not real man they'll just be more depressed when it doesnt grow and how long can you live with a fake baby???

I guess that's how the clinically sane would look at it, but at times, desperation can make you do things that...aren't all that sane. I doubt many of these women prefer these fake dolls to real babies…it's probably that they just can't have the latter and thus are settling for the former. Freaky and illogical, but they're not thinking with their heads when it comes to babies…
May Allah(swt) protects us from having to resort to these drastic measures to 'calm' that motherly 'instinct'.

i know i must say they are cute but ewoooo the thought of having a lifless thing like that make sme wanna puke but if they told me they made those dollz for lil girls i wouldnt be that scared than i was looking at that site i mean look at it... they almost weigh as a real baby...

I briefly watched some of this yesterday, and i think its a mild form of mental illness.
These people are far from reality, but wish to fill an empy hole in their lives . A hole that has come about through the natural diappearence of those who were once babies and are now grown up, and who they miss their innocence and purity and cuteness. They seek that pure and UNIQUE companionship that only a baby can provide in its physical, emotional and spiritual prescence.
For instance the old lady who was looking after the baby of her deceased daughter, and the baby has now moved on...she was very specific in her requirements of the fake doll provided by the young woman who had provides this service.
Those babies are amazingly life like :eek:

i think it is a mental health issue as - 1 they could always adotp ... but carrying a lifless thing at that age makes me think...
may be they where abused as children and they are now releasing their feelings about how they should have been taken care of or shown affection to. or may be theres more to it allah knows .

I can't upload the links and didn't see the program but can get the gist of what it was about from the posts on here. It sounds freaky but if you think those people are weird to carry fake doll babies around, that's nothing compared to the men on "guys and dolls":wacko:
