How Do You Make A DVD Cover? [Archive] - Ummah.com

Asalaam alaikum

i have lots of DVDs that over the years have lost their covers and i find it frustrating, cos then it doesnt look nice and also difficulty finding the one you want - cos there is no cover.

Is it possible to make one on my PC?

Please explain step by step

thats already in place.

When they are all on a shelf, becos ther is no DVD cover , you cant see what movie it is with a glance, with DVD covers its easier.

Sooooo how do u do one (please dont tell me to draw a picture on a piece of paper and it on there)

go to argos and get a ' dvd labelling' kit. sorry but i would of recommended (their website is down currently)

you get step by step instructions, you need a printer and gloss paper, or normal paper wil do!:up:
there is more detail in the kits!

orrr!! ................ if you have ' NERO' you can use the cd/dvd cover maker on that. it provides a canvas for you to make your design, then all you do is print t out, and slot it in. :)

my nero went wen i got a reinstallation done :smack:

when i tried to d/l it again there were so many versions i didnt know which one was which, would u be able to provide a link to which Nero i should d/l ?

Ummmm why not just by a cd cover binder???? I have two which fit a 100 cd's each. You don't need individual cases which waste enough room. You can just open the binder and start flipping away :up:

Yeah you just save and print. If that's ok then use that, if not I would have designed one from scratch :P

i think that cover should be fine and that way i wont have to feel guilty about u taking time out to do the covers!

No probs, I usually mess around for 15-20minutes before work, just to get 'warmed up' so it's no big deal.

P.S. u design your covers through photoshop did u say?

I do everything graphical through either Photoshop or Illustrator. I have like 7 years of experience so it's a breeze really.

It gets quite sad when I'm in the room all dark, monitor glaring in my face, pupils dilating throwing layers and everything with my fingers banging away on the keyboard using shortcuts. It's something (sort of) to be proud of, but still sad.

I might do Sul's master blaster graphics class in this section.

No no no!!!! Keyboard is essential later on for faster work flow
