How can I transfer lectures of more than the time capacity but less than 700MB on a CD-R which can contain only audio files of 70-80 minutes?

Don't burn it as an audio CD.

Unless you need the CD to play on audio CD players.

if there MP3 just burn MP3 disc 700MB if not use media-convert to convert them if there too much, and will require you download a lot (some connections have limit to downloads) then just download a converter :)if you no know converter, tell me what types they are and I'll go hunting for ya :D

<smiles> :jkk: brother! You mean I should just simply burn 700MB on the CD but when the length reaches 75-80 minutes, it just can't take any more

When you're making a data CD, the time is irrelevent.
Example, you want to put mp3s onto a cd, so what you do is use nero or something, to start a data cd project (instead of an audio project), and then C&P the files onto the CD as data, not as mp3s (if that makes sense). In this case, the only thing the computer cares about, is the size of data on the CD.
Hopefully, if this sounds confusing, somebody will clarify...

It must be that you are recording it as an Audio CD then. What you want is to record as MP3, not CD Audio. Or what is called a "Data Disc" sometimes.

What software are you using to record?

I just use Windows Media Player to burn

Do data CDs with mp3s only work in CD players?

Here's the thing, Audio CDs are burned in Audio CD format. All CD players can play that format, even from before people were using MP3 and things.

On the other hand, Data CDs are just CDs that you are burning with the actual MP3s on them. Not converted to Audio CD format at all.

Not all CD players can read and play data CDs with MP3. But you can put much more on a Data CD as MP3 because MP3 is a much more compact way of storing audio, compared to Audio CD.

Does that make sense?

So if your player in the car is capable of playing MP3s, then what you want to do is record as a Data CD in MP3. Then you will not have this time restriction.

Here is a link from Microsoft that explains this difference more:

Note the section on "Why my CD won't play in my car"

And how to burn MP3s as a Data CD.
