Aslaam alaikum


how do i save whats in my "favourites" to my external HD? even if i save the whole of the "C drive" it still doesnt save my "Favourites" :rubeyes:

please help!

just backing it up? Which favourites are we talking about? Internet Explorer or Firefox?

If it's IE - go to your C Drive => Documents and Settings => Your user name => Favorites (spelt the stupid American way)

just copy that folder over - it should already be copied though.

If it's firefox I can't remember...

haven't got a pc - don't use those rubbish things, okay, I'll go and invade the privacy of a sibling...

back, well it's definitely backed up already - you just don't know it.

It's located at:

C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\your profile name\bookmarks.html

So just backup your Firefox folder there. Replace the file bookmarks.html to 'replace' your bookmarks.

Alternatively, open Firefox, go to Bookmarks => Manage Bookmarks and chose export (probably have to choose file => export), and just save it on your backup drive.

back, well it's definitely backed up already - you just don't know it.
