InshaAllah we are making some changes in Comparative Religions (CR) forum, alongside other changes to the forum that are happening. Dhakiyya is going to be one of the moderators in charge of CR, however we need another moderator who will work alongside her in running the forum.
This person will inshaAllah:
- have at least a good general knowledge of Islam and some basic knowledge about at least one other religion or atheism/agnosticism
- be committed to the CR forum, they will be able to moderate elsewhere but will take a leading role in CR and needs to be able to devote time to read all the very long posts in there - and most especially be committed to the purpose of the CR forum, i.e. dawa
- be committed to dawa - including dawa by example - and in agreement with the idea of answering difficult questions rather than deleting them (but is not expected to answer all of them him/herself!)
- be accepting of all mainstream Sunni groups - all madhhabs, sufis and salafis, and people with no labels - provided of course that they are following Qur'an and Sunnah. (which of these they actually belong to is less of an issue than their ability to tolerate differences in Q & S based opinion between them)
- be polite and tolerant when giving dawa to non Muslims of all varieties, and should be able to tell the difference between difficult questions and insults. Their posting history on the forum should show that they are polite and respectful in their posting style, even during disagreements.
- have been here for at least one year and will have a sufficiently large number of posts, and presence on the forum, that we can get a good idea of them as a person and their posting style, and be considered a regular user of the forum.
The following are negotiable depending on the overall qualities of the applicant - however they would be a good bonus:
- someone with an extensive and indepth knowledge of Islam.
- someone who has done some sort of formal dawa training
- someone who lives in a different timezone to Dhakiyya (She is in GMT +3)

Applicants inshaAllah will recieve an "interview" questionnaire inshaAllah, which needs to be filled and returned inshaAllah. The successful applicant will inshaAllah recieve training in moderating and will have the option of moderating with an alternative ID if they choose to moderate anonymously inshaAllah.
InshaAllah Dhakiyya will be involved in the selection process, but the successful applicant will be approved by the team as a whole and the final decision is with Sajid inshaAllah.

It may be the case that if we get two very strong applicants that we could take on one for CR and one for another job that we feel inshaAllah is suited to them.
