Hope
Hadhrat Ibn Abbaas(radhiyallahu anhu) reported that : " I was(once) behind Nabi(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) when he said to me: 'O son ! I shall inform you of a few things: Remember Allah, and He will protect you. Remember Allah, and you will find Him close to you. When you have to ask for something, ask of Allah Ta'ala. When you require aid, seek His aid. Believe firmly that if all the creation desires to benefit you in anything, they can never benefit you, but, that which Allah has decreed for you. If they ALL unite to harm you, they will not be able to harm you in anything, but that which Allah has decreed for you." (Tirmizi)

Muslims are ONE Ummah
Hadhrat Nu'maan bin Basheer(radhiyallahu anhu) reported that Rasulullah(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said : " The Believers in their mutual pity, love and affection are like one body. When an organ is in pain the whole body has fever and become restless." (Bukhari, Muslim)

Oppressor and oppressed
Hadhrat Anas(radhiyallahu anhu) reported that Rasulullah(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said : "Help your brother whether he is an oppressor or an oppressed. Someone asked, "Messenger of Allah, I will help the oppressed surely, but, how may I help the oppressor ?" The Prophet(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam): Stop him from oppressing someone. That in itself is helping him." (Bukhari, Tirmizi)

Help when needed[/b]
Hadhrat Jabir and Hazrat Talha(radhiyallahu anhum) reported that Rasulullah(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said : "If a Muslim deserts another Muslim at a time when he is being disgraced and humiliated then Allah will leave him helpless at a time when he is in need. But, as for one who helps a Muslim when he is being disgraced and humiliated, Allah will help him at a time when he is in need of help." (Abu Dawud)

Best and worse Rulers
Hadhrat Awf bin Maalik(radhiyallahu anhu) reported that Rasulullah(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said : " Your best rulers are they whom you love and they love you, you pray for them and they pray for you. Your worst rulers are they whom you despise and they despise you, you curse them and they curse you. " ( Muslim)

Istighfaar and Calamity
Hazrat Anas(radhiyallahu anhu) describes that Rasulullah(sallaaahu alayhi wassallam) said that Allah Ta'ala says that sometimes, He intends to send a calamity to a land; but the idea is given up; seeing those men who populate His houses(Masjids) and recite "ISTIGHFAAR" in the late hours of the night; and He witholds the calamity. (Bayhaqi)

Muslims do not tyrannise one another(Muslim Rulers to take note)
Hadhrat Abdullah bin Umar(radhiyallahu anhu) reported that Rasulullah(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said : " A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim. He does not tyrannise him nor does he hand him over to his enemy. As for him who looks after the needs of his brother, Allah will look after his needs. If anyone removes an anxiety of a Muslim, Allah will remove an anxiety from his anxieties on the Day of Resurrection....." (Abu Dawud)

Imam Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali [Translation of an extract from his “Jaami` ul-‘Uloom wa`l-Hukm fee Sharh Khamseena Hadeethan min Jawaami’ al-Kalim” of hadeeth no. 36, p.632. Translated by IISCA.]

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: “Whoever relieves a believer from one of the hardships of this world, Allah will relieve him from one of the hardships of the Day of Judgement. And whoever eases a straitened circumstance (for the believer), Allah will make it easy for him in this life and the Hereafter; and whoever covers a believer, Allah will cover him in this life and in the Hereafter. Allah is at the assistance of the slave (of His), so long as the slave is at the assistance of his brother…”

And from the two Saheehs, from a hadeeth of Ibn ‘Umar , from the Prophet (reads): “The Muslim is the brother to the Muslim. He does not oppress (or wrong) him and he does hot hand him over (to an enemy). Whoever is in need of his brother, Allah will come to his need; and whoever relieves a Muslim, Allah will relieve him from a hardship on the Day of Judgement; and whoever covers a Muslim, Allah will cover him on the Day of Judgement.”

So his words – “Whoever relieves a believer from one of the hardships of this world, Allah will relieve him from one of the hardships of the Day of Judgement” - this refers to the rewards of the type of work done (i.e. a good deed brings a good reward, likewise, a bad deed brings a punishment). Many texts with this meaning have been compiled, such as his saying: “Allah will only show mercy to those of His slaves who are merciful.” And his saying : “Verily, Allah will torture those who torture people in the world.”

Hardship (Al-Kurbah): This is a great distress that befalls one who is suffering from hardship, and the relief is that he lightens it for him. This is like a rope around his neck, and so he loosens it for him until he can take a breath (tanfees). At-Tafreej is a sense of relief more powerful than tanfees, that is, bringing this hardship to an end (completely). So you relieve for him this difficulty, and his distress and sadness ends. Thus, the reward for tanfees is tanfees (relief for relief), and the reward for tafreej is tafreej (complete relief for complete relief), like the hadeeth of Ibn ‘Umar , and what was collected between them in the hadeeth of Ka’b ibn ‘Ujrah.

At-Tirmidhee narrated from the marfoo’ hadeeth of Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri : “Any believer who feeds a hungry believer, Allah will feed him on the Day of Judgement from the fruits of Paradise; and any believer who gives drink to a thirsty believer, Allah will give him to drink on the Day of Judgement from the Sealed Nectar; and any believer who clothed a naked believer, Allah will clothe him from the green (robes) of Paradise.” Imam Ahmad took this hadeeth with doubt in its elevation and said, “Verily, it is authentic and accepted.”

Ibn Abid-Dunya narrated with his isnaad that Ibn Mas’oud said: “Mankind will be gathered on the Day of Judgment naked with nothing at all, hungry with nothing at all, thirsty with nothing at all, and fatigued with nothing at all; so whoever clothed someone for the sake of Allah , Allah will clothe him, and whoever fed someone for the sake of Allah , Allah will feed him, whoever gave someone to drink for the sake of Allah, Allah will give him to drink and whoever pardoned someone for the sake of Allah , Allah will pardon him.”

And Al-Bayhaqi related from a marfoo’ hadeeth of Anas: “Verily, a man from the people of Paradise will be honoured on the Day of Resurrection above the people of the Fire. A man from the people of the Fire will call out: ‘O so-and-so! Do you know me?’ He will say: ‘No, by Allah, I do not know you. Who are you?’ He will say, ‘I am the one whom you passed by in the world and you asked me for a sip of water, so I gave you a sip.’ He will say, ‘I remember now!’ The man will say, ‘So intercede for me to your Lord on account of that’. He (the narrator Anas) said: ‘So he will ask Allah and he will say: ‘I have interceded on account of that’, so the order was given on account of it, and he was subsequently released from the fire.”

And in the two Saheehs from Abu Hurayrah , that the Prophet said: “There was a trader who used to give loans to people when he knew that one of those people was under (financial) hardship. He told his creditors: ‘Waive his debt, perhaps Allah will forgive us’ so Allah forgave him.”
