What do you answer when you get this question. I know why, but when i answer people they always throw something back at me or they just dont open their minds and its a bit frustrating because you know and you undestand your self why, its just expressing it in a clear and concise mannar that wont confuse the other person or make them throw something back at you.

Just say "because I want to" - its quite hard for them to answer that. Its not *technically* the best Islamic reply.... but as the majority of non Muslims think we only cover because we're forced to, that no woman in her right mind would want to cover herself up - actually this is quite a good retort, and its true.

i tend to say, because i am modest. which is kinda like Dhakiyyas answer.
