Subhanalaah what is the Ummah coming too!!!

Its very upsetting that after pocketing thousands of pounds from the community I would have expected at least they provide this conference for free! and give back to the community even if they had expense for this conference.

If you can go, then go but its very sad . . .

you value things more when you spend your hard earned cash on it

and every penny spent in the way of increasing ones islaamic knowledge will gain you reward...'gain as you spend' :D

Wa Alaikum wa Assalam,

I have to agree with you to an extent- ideally there should not be any charge to be made for such an important topic at all so as this is made accessible to all freely so they know the very basics of why attaining ilm and doing amal on this should be a duty upon us as individuals and as a community. There are foundation knowledge that should not be charged for as it is paramount that we all as believers actually know this ilm.

To add to that seriously even the cost of the Al Kauthar main courses that they run have to be brought right down as much as possible aside from the raw matieral cost and standard payment for teachers as more and more brothers are being put off by the price yet they know they need the knowledge but cannot afford it at that rate, in the end of the day we need them and us to know the ilm too so we improve and are able to contribute in helping ourselves and others which will not happen if courses are organised yet they charge way too much.

May Allah (swt) guide us all- Ameen.

I agree with you my sister- but many do not have that hard earned cash to spare let alone the pennies to count as good deeds to even begin with therefore the cost needs to come down so they too are able to benefit insha'allah otherwise we'll have this gap emerging as we see where the Muslim brothers and sisters with more earnings are benefitting in ilm masha'allah but unfortunately those from less well off backgrounds are just missing out completely, this is sad to see when you see the need of the ilm and the potential.

And in our community it is the Muslim brothers and sisters who are less well off financially that make the majority so I change needs to occur sooner rather then later from the organisors.

Allahu Alam.
