As-salaamu 'Aylakum,

I'm on Microsft Word and I need the page to be horizontal, but I have no idea how to do it. Doing a poster - deadline is Tuesday..YIKKES!!

Please help insha allah.

You mean when you print it?

File>Page setting> then choose horizontal.

Found File, found page settings, can't find horizontal!....sorry I'm stupid, need exact directions!

click on page settings and a small window will show up. In that window you'll see the 'horizontal' choice in the middle.

It may be called Landscape.

On Word 2003 at least, it is File->Page Setup.

On that dialog there is an option called "Orientation". It has two choices, Portrait and Landscape.

Yeah mine isn't set up like that...oh well rubbish users need old computers I guess. Jazak allhu khair!

Actually, it may be me who is bad!! The 'horizontal' choice you couldn't find was 'Landscape' I was just trying to translate it from Arabic to English. :) I needed to restart my laptop to shift from Arabic to English so I thought let me just translate it to English for her. :) But you know the two words have the same meaning. I apologise for making you believe you're stupid. :D :D

yeah u have to go to file and pahe set up n change it from there

Actually, it may be me who is bad!! The 'horizontal' choice you couldn't find was 'Landscape' I was just trying to translate it from Arabic to English. :) I needed to restart my laptop to shift from Arabic to English so I thought let me just translate it to English for her. :) But you know the two words have the same meaning.
