Salam brothers and sisters,
It was established a while back that I'm possessed. A few nights ago I said that my name is Dave (it's really not) and that I'm not a Muslim (but of course I am). I heard myself say this. I don't know why I said it. Could it have been the jinn that possessed me? Either way I can't forgive myself for saying it. I feel so low and feel that I have left Islam by saying this. Do I need to take my shahada again. Help me please. I don't know what to do.

Hi dear
It might be a kind of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
or it might be Schizophrenia
or maybe that happened because of thoughts or beliefs you have or something you are going through which put you under so much stress and pressure which make your body and brain react in this way, if you are lonely you need to express your thoughts and feelings to someone who you can trust. Wish you all the best. Tell me what do you think?

I just read your post and if you’re possessed you do not need to take your shahada again. This is because it is not you talking but the Jinn. You do not need to feel bad about this as it is out of your control. Inshallah if you need help with this problem contact me via PM or send me an email on abdalmajid1978@hotmail.com and this can be sorted out and the jinn removed.
Wa salaams

Is this your FIRST time you've said this or has there been other times?
Below are some of the symptoms which may consider if you are possessed by a Jinn:
1) Strange behaviour (not necessarily frequently); 2) Mood swings (E.g, abrupt hysteria, sudden weeping, etc.); 3) Sudden standing up, walking around and then sitting back down for no apparent reason; 4) Hostility towards loved ones; 5) Hostile intonations upon verses from the Holy Qur'an.
Just to be on the safe side - there's no harm in reciting Shahaadah again and seeking Allah Taa'la's repentance and to ask Him to save you from such ordeals again.
