Salam aleykum,

Inspired by the Abu Bakr thread I was wondering if you can recommend some publishing house that does good islamic story books for children.

Salam aleykum,

Maybe this thread has been done already...

However, I bought 2 books from Darussalam but I really don't like them because the text is so short and in rhyme () and the pictures creep me out because all living things don't have eyes.

I know why they don't have eyes, but you should see in the book I got about the story of Yusef AS: the picture of the guy with birds eating from his head.. I guarantee you that is not something a child can easily relax and fall asleep to...

I'd rather buy books with nicely written stories I can read to my child and no pictures...

..Any advice?

well u can try all the online ones like
simplyislam and other book shops/islamic shops should have sections for this. also muslim baby shop has alot of books so check those out. i dnt know about ur town what they have got, but they should have it in islamic book shops things suited for young children aswel insha allah.
also u can ask ur husband or his family 2 bring some from libya, arabic ones.. to train baby in arabic when they are smaller. insha allah im gna ask someone to bring me some from syria, cos u can get arabic language ones in uk but more expensive, like saqi books in bayswater they make it a rip off.
anyway publishers for the childrens books i dnt really know but try browsing those websites.

i bought the whole selectiopn of " Quran stories for little hearts"

my boy loved these and since he was about 4yrs old i hav been reading them to him at bedtime, he has subhanallah learnt so much about all the Prophets AS from them and i enjoy them myself too .

There are no pics of humans in them but i remeber seeing a pic of Uzayr's donkey though, the books are only a £1 each from most books shops.
