Allah SWT says in Surah Nahl, verse 97: Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a true believer.Verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the bestof what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter).

Assalamu'alaikum, I am writing this after having tried to contact dhikrullah directly (they don't have contact details on their site, hope this wasn't done intentionally).

I recieved a call from Murtaza Khan this morning asking me to reply to this post. He, myself and the brothers at Knowledge Audio are not happy with what is happening.

Br Abu Muslim if you could contact me through pm please so I can clarify this issue inshaAllah. If you also want to talk to Murtaza Khan about this then pm me and I'll give you his number so he can tell you directly what he thinks inshaAllah.

He told me that if this continues then in the future he will stop his lectures and then tell people to STOP recording if he sees them doing so inshaAllah.

There are various reasons why we are taking this stance. Please contact us to clarify this matter.

Also, if people could stop doing a "dispatches" and cutting and pasting his lectures and putting them on the web. This is in regard to his lecture titled "Paradise". We love the brother and don't want him to get in trouble because of some peoples misplaced "zeal".

Shaykhul Islaam Shaykh Abu Zaidah what if i told you i have done some background technical checks on the brother’s website and obtained his name, home address and contact number? (Like I can do to any website)

May I add that this is harming the brothers of knowledge audio as they are spending time and money into producing such c.ds and then to have brothers come and rip the c.d. and provide it free in the net is (La yajooz) not at all allowed.

In a general principal there is no copyright in Islaam however specifically the Shuyukh have stated (Including Shaykh Bin Baz) if the owner does not give permission then it is NOT allowed to do such things and is forbidden.

Akhi Abu Muslim i'm sure your intentions were good, its better to take them off Akhi and ask permission.

A reply on behalf of the brother who owns dhikrullah.A PR statementt lol.

"Even though I do not agree with the copyright stance of many of these companies or speakers with reagrds to our brother Murtaza Khan in partciular, you would notice that the talks whcih were disrtibuted by ilm audio were actually streamed from the website and so therefore were not downloadable. And the only downloadable ones were the ones which were recorded live via and given to me via various sources, at live talks.

With regards to the copyright issue, I am of the view that there is no copyright in Islaam and the knowledge of deen can have no price put on it. Like feiz mohammed said in when posed this question to him: did Mohammed SAW, the sahaba or the tabieen charge for dawah? Im not here to debate and to go into this would be long convo. khair no worries though, I shall respect the wishes of our beloved brother Murtaza Khan and ilm audio and take down the audio/lectures. jazak'Allahu khair."

Khair clearly the brothers of DhikrUllah had nothing but good intentions masha'allah seeking to spread the truth freely to all, they were oblivious to Ustadh Murtaza not wanting his recordings released through means other than Ilm Audios and after being aware have respected the dear brothers wishes.

Jezak'allah to the DhikrUllah brothers for their excellent site and please keep up the work as many are benefitting through it.

Just one question to Akhy Abu Zaidah- does this mean all of Ustadh Murtaza's lectures that have been recorded cannot be freely distributed any more? Even those he did time back that your not producing/ distributing?
