Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah,
Background:
Since 21 February 2006, Leaf UK (Chewitts) have been working with us
to provide a Muslim List. The time has come for the full list to be
updated and we have hit a "brick wall". They have given us
information which doesnt appear to reflect the current Chewitts
products, and after questioning this, they have escalated the query to
the MD who remains nameless as it is against their policy to give out
names. After many phone calls and persistent emails, Chewitts aren't
complying, nor are they providing a timescale.
We spend many hours lobbying, convincing, advising companies,
ultimately trying to get the Muslim Consumer the best deal possible.
Remember that as well as being a non-profit organisation, all persons
taking part are volunteers assisting for the Sake of Allah.
Now the spotlight is on you folks! We rely much on Muslim Consumer
Power at times like these. I suppose the easiest thing to do is
"leave it to someone else". Please don't leave it for someone else -
empower yourself.
Until they comply, we cannot take anymore queries for LEAF UK whatsoever.

As a dedicated Muslim, we buy and consume only such foods available
that are suitable for Muslims, the majority of Muslims depend on the
Foodguide for reliability for what we can consume, unfortunately i
have heard that Foodguide have been unable to obtain specific data
from your company which can allow us to continue buying your products,
Since there has been no feedback from yourselves it has not been
permissible for us to buy or consume your products.
It is very sad that you are losing valuable custom due to lack of
customer services, it would be highly advisable for the benefit of
your company that you provide the necessary information required, as
it would be very much appreciated by your mass Muslim consumers, who
unfortunately are also losing out on consuming your products.
Foodguide has been a very reputable organisation amongst the Muslims
for many years, there outstanding work on checking suitable
ingredients for the majority of Muslims has been very meticulous and
correct, this has only been possible due to the very generous response
given to them by reputable Companys such as yourself.
we look forward to being able to buy your products and consume them in
the near future, and from hearing from you in the near future.
