As-Salaam'Alaykum Wa Rehmatullah

I was surfing the net looking for information when I came upon the topic started by UnityPeace about dreaming of marrying a Madinah University Student. I wanted to join and reply to her thread but unfortunately registrations are closed at the moment.

I just wanted to say to her I am married to a Student from the university! al-Hamdulillah.

It is certainly not an impossible dream. I am from the UK and my husband from America. I always wanted to marry a religious Brother who had taqwa and was pious, with every Dua to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala that is what I asked for. Yet if some-one asked me would I ever end up marrying a Madinah student, I would have said how? I don't mix or know of any religious Brothers! But Allah is the best of planners! Subhan'Allah.

Being a student wife opens up a whole area of Islamic education. The university organise classes for the wife's to learn Arabic, Quran, Tajweed, Fiqh etc. Living in Madinah enables you to have access to many Islamic resources, al-Hamdulillah. The most wonderful thing is to be living in one of the two most holy cities for Muslims, Subhan'Allah!

I just wanted to say, Insha'Allah nothing is impossible and if Allah Wills it you will get married to a pious Brother.... From Madinah!

Your Sister In Islam.

Thanks for this great point.

UnityPeace presented her dream as if it were a fantastically unreachable goal that only a miracle could make real.

From my experience in life, when we sincerely pray and seek God's will, when we sincerely act in accordance with God's will, many seemingly unattainable things become quite attainable.

Assalaamu 'Alaykum,

Masha'Allaah.

Important to note that the sister made du'a for a brother who was pious and had taqwa, he only happend to be/start studying at the university of Madinah al Munawwarah. I have over time met brothers who study abroad, and they vary in their character and manners regardless of their place of studies. It is amazing to see and find out the sisters in this ummah have a deep desire to live in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, even if it means marrying someone who has a way of staying there. May Allaah reward your good intentions. To be married to a student of knowledge is a positioned not many are blessed with, likewise those married to the ones carrying the Flag.

May Allaah reward our good and forgive our sins.
