Salaam

I was looking for a definitive guide on things that would make the prayer invalid ..

Does praying in a house with images invalidate the prayer?
Does praying with your sleeves/trousers rolled up invalidate the prayer? In a hadith, prophet Mohammad (SAW) said that 'I've been ordered to prostate on 7 bones and not to tuck up the hair and garment (in prayer) .. does this fall under this category?
Does praying with trousers falling BELOW the ankle invalidate the prayer?

Is there not a scholar who has done a lecture on prayers and things that would invalidate them?

Things Which Invalidate The Prayer (Mubdilatu-Salaat):

Speaking or talking in the course of the prayer.
Laughing in the course of the prayer.
Eating while praying, even though what is eaten maybe as small as a piece of dates.
Drinking while praying, even though what is drank maybe as small as taking only a mouthful.
If someone in the course of the prayer remembers that he/she did not actually perform the ablution (wudhu), then, such a person is required to break the prayer and get out to perform Wudhu.
If a person's ablution (wudhu) gets invalidated in the course of the prayer, then the prayer becomes invalid.
The prayer is also invalidated by carrying out the Rukuu and Sujuud postures with haste and without ease. While in prostration, bobbing (jerking) up and down like chicken pecking food from the ground is not allowed.
Turning oneself away from the direction of the Qiblah also invalidates the prayer.

wassalam. jazakallah for the reply.

What about the hadith that states our Prophet saw someone praying whose garment fell below his ankle; he then asked that person to repeat wudoo until the person asked why ...to which the Prophet replied that it was because of his isbaal (or something along those lines) .. doesnt this imply that his prayer was not valid?

I'm not aware of this hadeeth. Perhaps you could post the reference(s)?

It was reported in a hadeeth narrated by Abu Dawood that Abu Hurayrah said: “Whilst a man was praying with his izaar (lower garment) hanging below his ankles, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Go and do wudoo’.”… He said, “He was praying with his izaar hanging below his ankles, and Allaah does not accept the prayer of a man who lets his izaar hang below his ankles. (Narrated by Abu Dawood, al-Salaah, 543. This was classed as da’eef (weak) by al-Albaani in Da’eef Sunan Abi Dawood, no. 124).

Furthermore, I found the following too

It is not permissible to roll up the sleeves or to fold them up before the prayer or during the prayer so that they will not touch the ground when doing sujood, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I have been commanded to pray on seven bones and not to tuck up my hair or my clothes.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim).

SO if you can't TUCK the trousers (roll them up) and you can't pray with them below your ankles, then one has no choice but to wear trousers above ankles!

Unless the above means don't tuck to the extent that they won't touch the ground at prostration?

However above are not mentioned as things that would invalide prayer in other answers...
