part 6
good documentary, but i really cannot stand that presenter lol!!!
i'm confused, why dont british non muslims want sharia law to be implimented for british muslims?
i dont know if holding the quran and speaking the truth will work here in the uk as i have seen some seriously dodgy people who are quranic hafiz and drink alcohol, so i think they would find it very easy to lie holding the quran.
i love judge esa, the way he shut up that "so called" muslim presenter for not covering her head! lol, that was cool! :D
i didn't really think the bit where the woman shook the hand of the man was fair. judge esa was shouting at the presenter and saying that she should not have done that, and that the man made a mistake... i thought something was wrong there...
should he not have shouted at both of them equally? or said that both made a mistake?
good documentary though. jazak'allah
wa iyakka amin, yes masha Allah judge isa is cool alhamdulillah  i dunno if he was shouting hes just being firm and he dealt with that presenter well masha Allah, its the way he speaks sounds like hes yelling to us, masha Allah, maybe he dealt with the guy later cos he seems a fair man insha Allah may Allah reward him for upholding the shariah in his area amin. and subhanAllah what about that brother masha Allah, who stole and accepted what Allah ta ala has ordained for that no arguments, amazing iman subhanAllah may Allah ta ala increase him in that and give him al jannah amin!
( elji did u watch this yet insha Allah what did u think ? )

Woah... That was cool... I like the judge Isa maasallah... He made a perfect and strict dawah to a Muslim (presenter).. But did you see the face of her... SHe was really afraid while saying "yeah I am Muslim" while answering about covering head and shaking with a man..... And yeah I like that guy too that let shariah court to cut his hand... Maasallh and May Allah forgive him insaallah... In addition, I like those black brothers for the sake of Allah as a white man... Thus no discrimination in Islam......

yeah he probably was not shouting. my dad is the same, people think he is shouting but he is talking what is normal to him...
yes again, he probably did deal with the guy later for shaking her hand.
and yes, the brother ho wanted his hand chopped off has imaan, no doubt. masha'allah

It was a good documentary and presents Shariah law and courts in a very good light. I have no problem with Islamic arbitration courts - settling issues between Muslims. Why don't you do it? There are British rabbinical courts. Yor laws for arbitration and decising Islamic issues ect would be your business.
It could'nt enter British law though, because then it would become mine also and I would'nt allow that.
Yea it was good.
Also shows how women are treated ... and when she asked those women. They said they were happy that there was a shariah court, so now men cant beat their wives. A man hit his wife and had to pay her money for each finger on his hand  ...
And Judge Isa ... lol .. he accent is wicked man .. i really enjoyed listening to him .

i don't think british muslims want it to enter british laws. i think the muslims in favour of the sharia law in the uk, want it for muslims only!
personally, i thought it was a good idea, if muslims do anything stupid, we get dealt with muslims judges who only look at the sharia law, and when non muslims do something stupid, they get dealt with using the british law.
excellent idea. only problem is when muslim and a non muslim are involved in some sort of dispute, as demonstrated in that video.

Yea, it was good. In the last part when judge 'Isa asks the presenter Why are you a Muslim, she responds with "I was born a Muslim." It reminds me of the quote I saw somewhere, "Are you a Muslim because you believe in Allah, or do you believe in Allah because you are a Muslim?".
That brother that had his hand amputated, isn't his sin forgiven because he got the punishment for it? Masha'Allah, he even pushed the court to make sure he had his hand amputated
And that part where those lawyers were in the High Court with their wigs was pretty pathetic, and it was funny how boring those guys were lol. judge 'Isa was way better, masha'Allah.
Yea it was good.

yes alhamdulillah the women were loving shariah no ones husband dared to step out of line towards their wives they said lol masha Allah may Allah ta ala reward him amin,
bro yasser i think thats correct insha Allah ta ala, that one would be forgiven insha Allah, especially with that brothers intention and his sincerity in his tawba subhanAllah wa Allahu ta ala alam. May Allah reward him so much amin.

What a great documentary. I watched the first half yesterday and the second half today.
May Allah bless judge Isa. BTW, he did shout at the guy who shook the presenter's hand. I think he said, "How could you, as a Muslim man shake a woman's hand?" to him. Refer to part 4 at 5:55 minutes.

i this ages go on tv it very gud the ways thing are being dealt with according to shariah law
Good documentary. I found it fair.
JazakAllah khair for posting, really clarified my understanding of Shariah, my choice would be the same, but with better understanding of why that is. Alhamdulillah.
SubhanAllah! We have been given this law from Allah that is amazing and perfect, and then we go and try to make up our own rules, how foolish.
I think the style of Judge Isa is a bit different to what we are used to liking here in US/UK. In many ways, we have become so full of pride/arrogance that we dislike someone to correct us, even when it is absolutely correct and necessary. We wish to be left to our own devices and make our own choice based purely on our desires without the input of clear knowledge. However, this isdifferent to those kids who get told off/kicked our of masjids for asking questions, thats wrong.
Further to this documentary I thought about how that law system compared to other countries, all of those countries which don't have Shariah, but we here in US/UK as a general rule seem to respect, even with their complete human rights abuses.
I thought of India, world's 'biggest' democracy, and thought about how the police treated the people. Those caught are often tortured, for instance, a police officer friend of the family explained that they would place marbles on the knuckles, and a table upon that, and then jump, jump, and jump. No one here speaks out against that craziness and other such similar incidences. And for all those 'encounters' that they seem to have. And it isn't just india, the police and law system in so many countries is absolutely messed up and corrupt. All of these issues is what a Shariah implemented with perseverance and righteousness would deal with.
And yet, Shariah gets knocked for including controlled and suitable physical punishments even though it completely solves the reason for a law system; to treat and prevent crime. Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah. :ahb::ahb::ahb:
I recognise here the mercy that Allah has given us by explaining to us this beautiful law. May He give us the strength and guidance to trust His Words (the Quran) and the example He sent us (Prophet Muhammad saw); and lead us to base our actions upon them. Ameen.

Ameen.
I remember watching this when it was on the BBC (I think it was the beeb) and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Being a cynic by nature, I expected the programme to show shariah in a bad light as usual, no matter how subtle the criticism.
However, I was pleasantly surprised at the even-handed approach of the film-makers. Judge Isa (may Allah aza wa jall grant him every success in this life and the next. Ameen) is the very embodiment of candour and an excellent proponent of the beauty of shariah.
:jkk: for posting sis. I am looking forward to watching it again later.:)

i'm confused, why dont british non muslims want sharia law to be implimented for british muslims?
because freedom of religion are empty words in the euromerican world
even in pagan makkah, people had more freedom of religion
360 different idols, 360 different religions, everyone lived and was judged according to their religion
now, the only religion that is truly recognized, is secularism, if you submit to that, then you can have your freedom of religion
you cant be married according to religion, you cant get divorced according to religion, you cant even smoke weed (marijuana) if thats what you religion says (but you can drink alcohol, go figure), ifi you teach "creationism" you are looked at as backwards, but if you teach that we came from monkeys, you are scientifically astute, you cant have polygyny, but two men can marry, you shouldnt get married too young, but you can fornicate like crazy
these people are astray, period
