i need help for science studies inshAllah....what is the difference between the arterie, Veins and Capillaries? Jazakum Allah khayr

Arteries: Take blood to lungs first to get oxgenated. Then it gets taken around the rest of the body. This is what is known as the double circulatroy system.
Arteries are thicker than veins as they have to hold the high pressure when the heart pumps blood. The force of contraction is very high so they have to be durable, to be able to handle the prussure. They are very elastic.
Aorta is one of the major arteries you need to know about. Largest artery in the body. It is

Veins: Take blood upto heart. Heart pumps it to lungs for oxygenation. Veins are thinner. They hold larger quantities of blood. They have flaps to prevent blood flowing backwards. This is because gravity forces blood down your body, so to push blood up the body contractions occur and it moves into segments of the vein. The flaps then close and the blood stay there until the next contraction occurs, pushing blood closer to the heart.
Vena Cava is important in carrying blood and there is an 'inferior' vena cava and a 'superior' vena cava.


Cappilaries Usually one cell thick. Dont have much of a function except to join veins and arteries. They also play a role in duffusion
