Where is the peace that we search for
It seems it's been replaced by men, who love to embrace war
So precious life is but the greed for money is that door
Men of every race seems to search for
But what about my baby that can't see the stars anymore?
Not a day has gone by
When I hear a nation troubled and I hear her cry
Not a day slips away
For a bullet to go astray
Oh where is that peace that we've always search for
My baby only sees the black smoke and she can't see the stars anymore
Hush baby; don't you cry
This troublesome dark cloud, will soon fly by
So hush little darling, let your tears dry
Soon these troublesome days, will pass us by
Where is that beautiful thing we call freedom?
That the world has so easily forgotten
Where are those birds that we use to hear singing?
Flown so far away because the guns have started firing
I know; you can hear the trembling of the Earth
No dear; it doesn't matter, who pulled the trigger first
I know; I can feel it too, like an Earth quake
People want peace handed down to them; on a golden plate
I know baby; you can't see the stars anymore
Hush baby; don't you cry
This troublesome dark cloud, will soon fly by
So hush little darling, let your tears dry
We just might hear; freedom walking by
Hush baby; don't you cry
This troublesome dark cloud, will soon fly by
So hush little darling, let your tears dry
Soon these troublesome days, will pass us by
It seems it's been replaced by men, who love to embrace war
So precious life is but the greed for money is that door
