There is this lovely middle aged white receptionist at maternity, who I have known through all my pregnancies. She always buys gifts for my babies, and sweets for my kids when I attend appointments. When my son died she sent flowers, and just this week she visited me at my bed. She is so very lovely.
She asks about my scarf/nikaab and other things sometimes, and this week she casually told me she is going through a divorce and 'may look into Islam' afterwards.
I want to buy her a gift, what would be ideal? A Quran... but by whom? Or do you know of any books? Mahdudi's maybe?

Make dua for her, she's really, really lovely.

Asalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barkatu

Alhamdullilah its good to see ur healthy and better again..

Yeah the Quran would be the obvious choice, i would go for the simple version of the Quran.
The one i have is:

English translation of the holy Quran with notes by Abdullah Yousaf Ali,
Its the Quran in the most simplest terms possible.

The other thing that would be highly recommended is Womens right in Islam, how women are treated equally.long before equality was ever sort in the Western world.. Jus the basic principles of Islam, Why we worship, who we worship, purpose on earth and the rewards of Akhirah..Inshallaah

sorry if i got carried away

Fi Amaan Allaahi
