From everything I've read, here's what I know:

Men can't wear silk or gold
men should wear earth colors (blue, green, brown, etc)
-I read this somewhere on a Muslim converts site
men must be covered between naval and knee, but more is recommended
pants are to be above ankles. Anything below ankles is in Hellfire.

That's all I know, basically.

what do you mean pants have to be above ankles? dont you mean below ankles.

and these jeans and trousers are not a good clothing choice esp if you are going to pray.. i see loads of people who when they bend down their jeans become so tight that you can actually "see". AND some people have jeans and tshirt and whenever they are about to prostrate, they pull their shirt down so that their backside dont show when they are prostrating BUT it still shows... there are two negative sides here: 1. showing your backside to people and 2: pulling your shirt down in every rakat, make it seems like another "rukn" of praying..

Now shalwar kameez, its comfortabble, doesnt show anything bad.

Nah, don't say that. We all make simple mistakes sometimes :)
