If history teaches anyone anything, it is that powers that accumulate overwhelming power, and then abuse it by dominating, invading, occupying and colonizing other people, are doomed to fall because of Allah’s social laws at work.
It’s war that distinguishes truly committed Muslims from lip-service Muslims. If it wasn’t for duties and responsibilities or war – carrying arms, fighting and being martyred for Allah – anyone could claim to be a devout and committed Muslim.
Once observant Muslims are aware of these facts, they should easily set aside such questions as “but how can this defeat happen to us?” It’s both selfish and foolish to expect victory from Allah just by saying “we are Muslims.”
Let us look a little at the word ‘taqwa’. It has been buried under so many layers of nonsense and mindless assumptions that many readers of the Qur’an do not appreciate its full and precise implications and meanings. (by: Imam Muhammad al-Asi)
