Okay i need help on my tajweed homework.

I have to find a word beginning with each letter of alphabet. So far I have:

nope, i think i should invest in an english arabic dictionary.

ermm can you tjust tell me them. i pretty much will know it just i've already go this weeks homework to do as well as my uni work ya rabi allah....so much..*sobs*

plus i need the harakats on them like fatah, kasra, dama etc.

a couple of them u missed off the dots from the ya, also fajr missed the dot it says fa7r :p
and this if its supposed to be wudu its spelt differently

and Ummah the hamza carry it on an alif not right for an initial hamza to be on the ground...
btw I am not picking on ur list im just pointing out these few small little things only just for the sake of accuracy but it is a great list masha allah

sis bint yusuf im sure u know most the words u dont need a dictionary, its all common islamic vocabulary so if u go thru im sure u know atleast 50% then u would b able to add the harakat on urself too from being familiar with the words in daily life u will know their sounds

You have raa and haa

You put a sukoon on top of the haa, does it make it rah?


Also to end a word say eg. qadr instead of qadari, do you put a sukoon on top of the raa?

if it is the end of a sentence, the haraka would be written but not pronounced so you dont write the sukoon. a noun should not be ending in a sukoon, thats not according to grammar.

Hood as in the prophet alayhi salam? its with a small h not the 7 one. small as in the curly one

kafiroon u need an alif after the kaaf but other wise yes

wudu it's not with a sukoon on the daad, think how u have spelt it then it would be sounding like wuD-wu because you put a stop after the d sound if u do like that. its a damma on the daad and the waw is as a long vowel not as a consonant w sound, and i think it has a hamza on the end too..

qiyaamah it doesn't end in 7aa, this is ta marbuta... see its a triliteral root as is the most common, so ur root is q-y-m... to have a 7 will make it a 4 letters and the pattern would not fit. the h is a for a feminine ending not for a root letter, otherwise that spelling is right.

layl yes you can put a haraka on the last letter but u dont just chose one and put it like just a fatha, its according to the grammar in its place in the sentence, so the default one is tanween with dammas (two dammas). you need tanween because it is kept in the indefinate. that is the same with all the nouns, so if you are putting them in a vocab list, and with no "al" on the start then you finish with two dammas on the final letter. then in a sentence depending on its position that may change

its a fatha on the dal, because of the long alif sound. but u know with long vowels its not compulsory to write that fatha because there is no other option how it can be read, it can ONLY be read with a fatha so to leave it out is fine even in a fully vowelled text, and then on the ra like i said for now just keep it with two dammas
