For a well toned body, where your six pack looks really good, you're gonna need to shoot for about 8% body fat, which is pretty low. I dunno about an actual regimen, but you'll have to do lots and lots of cardio if you're far off from that level.

press-ups=chest
sit ups=abs

low fat, low carb diet (i.e. enough fat and carb for what you need per day, no excess).

this is difficult to type here because it is different for everyone.

exersise:
simpler than what most people think!
every other day for a month then every day after that
pressups, situps, chinups, skipping.

I've been with iron magazine forums for close to 3 years bro, solid forums just sign up trust me.

6 pack is a waste of time, avoid it. Once you get a six pack you have to work on it daily to maintain it. If you stop working on it you will get fat over your six pack which looks disgusting, eventually your stomach will show just like arnolds does now.

I got pics posted on that site. Some of those guys are very helpfull and are animals when it comes to body building. Don't get discouraged by the pics, these guy's do this for a living :D

Salaamu alaykum

Don't forget that a diet should be part of your plan:

Drink a lot of water, recommended amount for anyone is usually 2 litres a day (working out at 8 glasses - 250ml each), but up this to 2.5 litres if you want to help burn a lot of fat off (easiest to do is an hour before workout than during your workout if you go gym for example, if not then try spread the amount throughout your day, maybe 1 glass after each prayer and that'll help you get to at-least a litre and a quarter!)

Also if you are trying to shed pounds its also good to stop eating around 3/4 hours before you go to bed, only drink water or juice in this time and only eat fruit or nuts (fruits like apples actually give you negative calories which is good).

Fibre is important - So eat your 5 fruit and veg! Again Alhamdulilah you can eat some before drinking the water after each prayer Inshallah.

A 'chin-up' is where you hang by the arms off a strong bar in the ceiling (a lot of people do it on goal posts) and just pull yourself up - its basically an all-arm workout specifically biceps.

Squats are where you basically bend on your knees as much as you can then push your legs back to straigthness and repeat this for sets of 10 or 20, some people like to hold small dumbells whilst doing this and others like to put their hands on the back of their head so they refrain from using their arms to push themselves up again (waving them about etc - like people sometimes do with their legs when they're bench-pressing)

In any case I think you should follow Hugo Bo$$'s advice, in my opinion a healthy looking body is Allah SWT's reward for keeping your heart healthy, don't focus on how you look cosmetically its more about how you feel inside.

Hope that helped

Salaamu alaykum.

Depends on your age, body type and eating habits really but basically something like this.

Monday - Warm up (W.U). Weight train shoulders for 1/2 an hour. Then go for a run or some other energetic cardio. Total time = 1 hr

Tuesday - W.U. Weight train your back and your abdomen (sit-ups n stuff). 45 mins.

Wednesday - W.U. Weight train your chest and then go for a run/cardio. 1hr

Thursday - Weight train your legs (squats n stuff). 30 - 45 mins

Friday - Day off(muslim)?? or weight train your arms then go for a run (non muslim). 1 hr 15mins ( bit longer only cos some arm exercises are done one arm at a a time)

Saturday - A few sit ups (non-muslim) 15 mins or; do friday's training (muslim).

Sunday - Day off, walk funny cos your legs are stiff. Do some sit-ups 15 mins(muslim)

The idea is to train each of your major muscle groups once a week and run/cardio 3 times a week after the weight training. I'm not sure about exercise on a friday for a muslim if it's awkward change friday to saturday. If you wanna be trim do more reps of a lesser weight.

Foodwise, if you do the above you would have to eat an awful lot of junk to not lose wait and gain muscle quite rapidly so just eat reasonably I reckon but don't skip your protein and eat reasonable amounts of quality carbs like wholemeal or brown rice and/or wholemeal bread/chapati/rotti.

Well bro it depends what type of tone you looking for.

I mean if you want a dark tone, you should probably paint yourself black but if you're looking for a bit lighter, stick to grey insha'Allah.

It varies from person to person, it is difficult to say without seeing your current physical shape and what your diet comprises of.

You are probably best speaking to a trainer at the gym, they will help to draw you up a physical training programme.

But my primary tip would be lighter weights and more reps is good for tone and definition.

Jogging, Punchbag work, butterfly dips and ab crunches are all good for accelarating heart work and pending on what your metabolism rate is like can also be beneficial for muscle toning and defining.

Good luck with your endeavours.

Lay horizontal across your bed, but lay off the edge so only your lower body (below your stomach) is on the bed, and the upper body on the side of the bed so your head is touching the ground. Push yourself up. I honestly found this more effective because it works your entire abs instead of just the upper part. I saw results in two weeks, after doing this for an hour each day. You won't get a 6 pac or a 4 pac straight away, but you'll definitely see the difference.

No need for Gym in my case anyway. Just try it for a few weeks and see if it works for you.

But some people find it easier building muscle in certain areas of their bodies than others. For example person A finds it easier to build wider shoulders than person B, but person B finds it easier to build triceps than person A etc.

If your going for a toned look and not body building, it be better to lose body fat initially. So cardio exercise is good - about half an hour to an hour every day, or 2 hours every other day. Running and skipping are pretty good, so is swimming or any cardio exercise u enjoy. Vary it though, so u wont get bored.

Eat more protien cos that will pack out ur muscle and give u a more lean and toned look. But dont over do it :p

Then work out with light weights - do more reps and work upper then lower without breaks. That will keep ur heart rate and intensity up.

Its hard to be specific cos it depends on ur height, weight and fitness level. Start out slow then build up.

I have some specific exercises i could post up, but they take time to describe. When i can then :p

Need more details about you and what training you done before and how much your willing to put it and I could put something togther for you.

But in short, maintain a healthy diet, which means cut down on your fatty foods so if you eat pizza/chips / crips etc etc cut that down to once a week where you treat yourself.

Increase your water intake, will help you have healthy skin and clean your system. Stop the fizzy drinks and swap it for proper juice.

Run. If you havent run before, go to the park, strech for 5/10mins and run for about 10/15 minutes at a steady pace. do this 3/4 times a week for a month and then increase the time to somehting you are capable of.

Do pressups / sit ups every day - start with something you can do but pushing yourself.

so....in short:

run x 4 times a week (increasing the running time / distance run)
pressups x 50 every day (increasing the number)
situps x 50 everyday (increasing the number)

give it 3 months and you will see a diffrence.

IMHO the best way to keep fit and look toned is...

1..watch ur diet

cut out white bread, fizzy drinks and sugar and cut ur daily portions by half..

watch the weight drop!

2, plenty of cardio..

approx 30min at least 3 to 4 times a week

3, moderate weights and lots of stretching

This is basically my exercise and diet plan:

Wake up around 5am. Go for walk for warmup, then start jogging and end it with sprint. I usually run for 5 to 7 km.
Take a bath and have healthy breakfast. I usually have oatmeal, with chunks of banana in it and low fat milk. I also have water poached egg whites (preferably 2) on the side and an apple.
Have a brunch, preferably garden salad with no dressings and tomato juice.
Have a high protein and low carb lunch. Preferably a lean chicken sandwich (absolutely no mayo) with fruits of your choice and at least 1 litre of water.
Have an afternoon snack. Preferably a tuna sandwich and some green tea.
After office, go and hit the gym. Divide your workouts based on days. I workout 5 days a week. Starting with sunday (chest and back), monday (cardio), tuesday (biceps and shoulder), wednesday (cardio) and thursday (legs). Make sure you warmup before exercising. Around 10 mins on the treadmill would do the trick.
Hit the sauna. Take lots of steam, that'll help you if you have any kind of respiratory congestions or sinositis.
Take a bath. Have a lean dinner as well. I usually go for fish during dinner. On the side I have salad and low fat milk.
